Marine
USCG Type IV Boat Seat and Throwable Cushion — Floatable Seat
Product description
Multi-use marine accessory — This unit functions as a throwable Type IV life cushion, a comfy seat pad, and can be used as a backrest or a simple water toy for children. It’s designed to be flexible in role so you can stash it on a seat, under a cushion, or in a storage locker and use it when needed.
Meets USCG requirements — Certified to satisfy U.S. Coast Guard rules for vessels over 16 feet, this cushion provides an approved flotation option for emergency situations. Keep one aboard to help ensure compliance and add a layer of protection for passengers.
Built for the marine environment — Constructed with a closed-cell foam core and a resilient outer shell, the cushion resists abrasions, chemical exposure, and moisture. The materials preserve buoyancy and performance even after repeated use in harsh conditions.
Easy to handle — The cushion includes webbed grab handles that let you pick it up or throw it quickly during an emergency. Its shape and weight distribution are optimized for straightforward deployment as a throwable flotation aid or comfortable seating.
High-visibility styling — Offered in bright, noticeable colors that make the cushion easy to spot in the water and add a lively accent to your boat’s interior. The eye-catching hues improve retrieval chances while doubling as a functional décor piece for your vessel.

Bright and easy to spot
Required for vessels longer than 26 ft. Easy to grab in an outboard emergency — hope I never need to use it.

Solid construction
Well made but a bit roomy. When sat on the foam compresses and reduces slack. I use it both as a seat and a throwable flotation device.
