Product description
This compass is molded from high-grade ABS plastic for longevity and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for marine and automotive environments. It’s eco-friendly and designed to endure outdoor exposure.
The package includes the flush-mount compass, an adjustable mounting bracket, a set of mounting screws, an EVA adhesive pad for non-permanent installation, and a power lead for illumination. You can attach it with the screws for a secure mount or use the EVA sticker when you prefer not to drill.
Designed for compact dashboards, the unit’s shallow profile and small footprint work well in tight spaces on small boats, yachts, ATVs, cars, and trucks. The semi-covered top features a tilting bezel so you can angle the viewing window to reduce glare and read the heading easily during daylight.
A 12V power connection illuminates the compass card for nighttime visibility. The lamp wiring and visible rubberized cord let you route power and adjust the compass’s orientation without obscuring the display. The included adjustable bracket lets you pivot the compass to the desired heading.
The compass has a sensitive, quick-reacting card for accurate bearing updates during maneuvers. However, when used inside a vehicle, magnetic fields from accessories can produce errors. For north-south errors, park facing north and adjust the north-south correction; for east-west errors, park facing east and tweak the east-west correction hole. Calibration and placement away from magnets or large ferrous objects will improve accuracy.

Solid compass but very sensitive
Dropped a star because it reacts strongly to magnets. It’s otherwise a good, large unit, but a magnetic phone mount anywhere in the car made it spin.
