This product is a US Coast Guard approved Type IV throwable flotation cushion intended for recreational and small commercial craft. Included: one throwable flotation cushion designed for use as an emergency rescue aid and an auxiliary boat seat.
Construction: outer shell made from 200D polyester Oxford for durability in marine settings; grab strap webbing constructed from polypropylene for a secure grip; internal fill is expanded polyethylene (EPE) foam formed in 10 layers at approximately 7mm per layer, delivering consistent buoyancy and resilience.
Compliance and fit: meets U.S. Coast Guard requirements for vessels greater than 16 feet. The cushion works as a throwable device to assist someone in the water and also functions as a comfortable, thick seat pad on boats and watercraft.
Intended uses: suitable for aluminum boats, kayaks, fishing boats, pontoon boats, canoes, docks, swimming areas, water camps and household emergency reserves in coastal locations. Lightweight yet sturdy, it stands up to wet conditions and is easy to store on board.
Caution: this item is a throwable flotation aid only and is not designed to be worn. It does not substitute for Type I, II, or III personal flotation devices.

Sturdy and reliable
Very substantial throwable cushion. The foam is firm and the cover fits neatly with reinforced corners. The grab straps feel secure and the whole unit seems built to last. Photographs match the item. It should be easy to toss to someone in distress, and we replaced our older cushion with this model.
