Designed to give dogs a cooler spot to rest during warm weather, this self‑cooling mat requires no ice, refrigeration or electricity. The surface is made from smooth ice‑silk fabric that feels cool to the touch. Beneath that layer are absorbent cotton and a breathable mesh core that help dissipate body heat and create a fresher place to lie down.
The pad is available in four sizes to accommodate different breeds: M — 28" × 22" recommended for dogs up to about 33 lbs (examples: pugs, French bulldogs); L — 39" × 27" for dogs up to about 66 lbs (corgis, border collies); XL — 47" × 31" for dogs up to about 88 lbs (huskies); and XXL — 59" × 39" for very large breeds up to about 110 lbs (mastiffs, great danes). The slim profile fits comfortably inside crates, kennels, dog beds and on sofas or floors.
Built for easy transport, the mat folds and packs into an included drawstring travel bag, making it suitable for patios, parks, beaches, camping or car trips. The outer fabric is soft for both short and long coats, and the stitching is reinforced so the pad holds up to everyday use, scratching and nesting. When dirty, it can be machine washed without losing much of its cooling ability or color.
Because the cooling effect is passive (no gel or liquid), the mat provides continuous moderate cooling rather than a cold, refrigerated surface. That makes it comfortable for most dogs and handy for extended use indoors and out.

Disappointing cooling time
Doesn’t stay cool very long—after about five minutes of lying on it the surface isn’t noticeably cooler.

Too thin and moves around
It cools to the touch but is flimsy — it crinkles and slides when my dogs move. I bought three and none stayed in place well, even when tucked under the bed.

Finally a mat my dog will use
The surface is soft, not plasticky, and actually feels cool. It took a couple of days for my dog to try it, but she stayed on it for hours even in 97°F weather. Much better than a hard plastic pad I tried last year.

Surprisingly effective for hot, panting pup
My dog was overheating and I bought the Large for our 20 lb Boston. He lies on it often and it still feels cool when I touch it, even after he's been there. It slides a bit, but the larger size helps keep it in place.

Not enough for a high‑energy Aussie
It’s more like a mildly cool blanket. My Australian Shepherd eventually leaves it for the tile or wood floor. Not effective enough for him.

Muy útil en noches calurosas
Aquí hace mucho calor y antes el perro buscaba donde dormir toda la noche. Con este tapete se quedó en su lugar y se vio más relajado. Es delgado pero funciona bien como protector en cama o sofá.
