Hario V60 Drip Coffee Scale — New Model (Black)
Product description
This digital pour-over scale is made to sit beneath a V60 dripper or coffee server and measure in 0.1 gram steps for highly repeatable brews. The unit combines weight measurement and a built-in elapsed-time display so you can follow recipes without juggling a separate timer. The plate and housing are molded plastic to resist temperature transfer from hot water and to keep the device lightweight.
Physical details include a compact footprint designed to accommodate common servers while taking up minimal counter space. Dimensions are W120 × D190 × H29 mm and the top load capacity is up to 2,000 g. Power comes from two AAA batteries, and the display shows both grams and an integrated timer. The scale also features automatic shutoff after five minutes of inactivity (this is disabled while the timer is running).
The newest revision reduces startup delays and improves the speed at which the readout updates. Additional refinements include slip-resistant rubber feet to stabilize vessels and improved resistance against splashes. Use it for pour-over coffee, manual brews and other kitchen weighing tasks where fine precision matters.
Pros
- 0.1 g precision with built-in brew timer
- Slim profile fits most coffee servers
- Faster startup, better response, anti-slip feet
Cons
- Capacitive touch buttons can feel unresponsive
- Some users report longevity and accuracy issues
- No tactile button feedback or countdown timer
VerdictA focused pour-over scale that pairs with V60 drippers and other manual brewing methods. It delivers very fine 0.1 g increments, a built-in timer and a slim platform that fits most servers. The latest model boots faster, reacts more quickly to weight changes and adds anti-slip feet plus enhanced moisture tolerance. Touch controls and a compact plastic top keep it lightweight and easy to store, tho

Fast, clear and accurate for pour-over
Possibly the best pour-over scale I've used. Quick updates, good accuracy across weight bands, light and robust enough to put a server straight on it—no insulation needed. Runs on AAA batteries.

Hario scale for drip setup
Bought to use with my drip station. It’s simple and has a timer, though not a countdown feature. Two touch buttons respond with a light touch.

Solid plastic design
Great scale. The plastic top means temperature from hot or cold liquids won’t skew readings like some metal platforms might. Build quality is excellent.

Very frustrating long-term
After two years of intermittent errors and unreliable taring the unit finally died. Touch controls often failed and readings became unstable. I wouldn’t recommend this if you need something rock-solid every day.

Good buy overall
Solid scale for the money and dependable as a Hario product. Touch buttons can be temperamental sometimes, but otherwise it's a great little unit.

Responsive and versatile
Reacts quickly to touch and weight changes. More flexible than many espresso-specific scales—fits larger bowls and still leaves the display visible. Timer is a useful built-in tool.

Good starter, limited lifespan
Worked well at first but started losing accuracy after about a year and stopped functioning after roughly 18 months. Touch controls were annoying for daily use, and accuracy varied across weight ranges.

Very easy to operate and feels well made. Hario quality shows.

Sleek, fast and effective
Very minimal look and the two touch controls react quickly. No tactile click, but the weight updates fast and the on-screen timer is handy during a brew. Overall very pleased.

Sleek upgrade for my coffee bar
A big step up from a kitchen scale—precision and the integrated timer improved my pour-overs. Small and stylish. Occasionally someone trips the region settings and one time I had to pull the batteries to exit, but that was rare.

Initial failure, replacement resolved it
Update: Warranty replied same day and sent a replacement that works fine. Original: my unit displayed "UNSt" on startup, wouldn’t zero unless an item was on it and took a long time to stabilize; then it occasionally drifted on its own.
