This is an authentic Cuisinart replacement: one gold-tone permanent coffee filter sized for 10–12 cup machines. The filter is made from a fine, laser-cut metal mesh set in a molded frame and finished in a gold-tone coating. It’s intended as a long-lasting alternative to disposable paper filters and helps retain more of the coffee’s natural oils for a fuller taste.
The basket is sized to fit 10–12 cup brew baskets and is compatible with these Cuisinart models: DCC-1000BK, DTC-975BKN, DCC-750 Series, DCC-1100 Series, DCC-1200 Series, DCC-2200, DCC-2600, DCC-2650, DCC-2750, DCC-2800, DCC-2900 and CHW-12. It installs in the brew compartment like a standard basket filter and accepts ground coffee in the usual amount for a 10–12 cup brew.
Usage is straightforward: place grounds inside the filter, set it in the machine’s brew basket, and brew as normal. For those who prefer extra clarity, the permanent filter can be used inside a size 4 paper cone as a support to prevent collapse. To clean, tap out spent grounds and rinse the mesh; occasional brushing or a quick soak clears trapped fines. Proper care keeps the mesh effective and long-lasting.

Fits well but arrived bent
Perfect fit for my coffee maker and replaces my lost basket. Unfortunately it came dented—looks like it was crushed in a huge shipping box—so I’ll return it for an undamaged replacement.

Durable and cost-saving
Saves on paper filters so I can buy better beans. I’ve been tapping it to clear grounds daily and it’s held up great—the last one lasted about eight years. It can leave a little residue in the last sip depending on grind, but I don’t mind.

A defective unit arrived: one handle broke off and detaches from the body. I requested a return but will keep using it to avoid the hassle.

Best used as paper support
I use it inside a size 4 paper cone to stop the paper from collapsing. It does that job well. If used alone it can let more sediment through than a paper filter.
