GlobalConnect is investing in an advanced monitoring platform from ScienceLogic that gives its Network Operations Center (NOC) the ability to anticipate, detect and resolve network- and IT-related issues faster. GlobalConnect expects this investment to further improve the customer experience.
Handling more than half of the data traffic into and out of the Nordics, GlobalConnect is adopting an AI-driven monitoring platform from ScienceLogic to streamline its operations. The new platform replaces several separate systems with a unified solution that will reduce outages, improve service quality and provide customers with real-time case visibility. The AI platform will be deployed in GlobalConnect’s Network Operations Center and enhance monitoring across the company’s 245,000 km fiber network.
Faster problem resolution
GlobalConnect aims to become a market leader in Service Operations and Support and is investing heavily in the new platform to deliver faster, more reliable incident handling for customers.
The AI-driven platform will monitor and manage all services offered by GlobalConnect. According to company representatives, the initiative is designed to reduce the number and duration of service disruptions experienced by customers.
The platform automatically detects faults in real time, uses AI to analyze issues, coordinates service activities—whether dispatching a field technician or sending replacement equipment—and escalates incidents to the appropriate technical teams while keeping customers continuously informed about actions and progress. These processes occur within seconds or minutes, dramatically improving the customer experience. Business customers will be able to track the entire process through GlobalConnect’s customer portal or integrate updates with their own IT service management systems via standardized APIs.
Fewer manual processes
“The AI platform will replace many of the manual processes we use today,” explains Tomasson. “It continuously monitors network status and performance and provides real-time recommendations for efficiency improvements and scalable operations. This ensures a more stable and seamless experience for our customers, which is essential as we continue to expand our fiber infrastructure and handle growing data volumes.”
Increased customer value
“This partnership enables us to support GlobalConnect’s AI strategy while strengthening our international footprint and delivering innovative technology and increased customer value,” says Michael Nappi, Chief Product Officer at ScienceLogic. “A holistic view of the IT environment is vital to identify issues early and resolve incidents quickly. By replacing multiple monitoring tools with the ScienceLogic platform and leveraging AI and automation through Skylar AI, GlobalConnect’s customers can reduce downtime, ease the burden on their IT teams and focus on innovation.”
GlobalConnect will build and test the new ScienceLogic platform over the coming months and plans a phased rollout throughout 2025.
