CONVENDUM is taking another step in its ongoing sustainability and environmental efforts toward greener offices by switching to plastic‑free bags from the award‑winning high‑tech company Grale.
Phasing in plastic‑free bags during 2025
In spring 2025 the new bags will be introduced across CONVENDUM locations as part of the company’s continued work to create more eco‑friendly offices and to move toward a circular approach to resource use.
“CONVENDUM continues to evolve our products and service offering with quality and environmental responsibility at the forefront. We are proud to work with Grale to reduce plastic use and begin phasing out plastic bags,” says Susanne Johansson, purchasing manager at CONVENDUM.
Deepening collaboration between CONVENDUM and Grale
The partnership between CONVENDUM and Grale (formerly PlasticFri) began in 2024 with the shared goal of reducing plastic waste. This collaboration is now expanding with a wider rollout planned for April.
“We are truly excited to partner with CONVENDUM. Their choice to adopt our products across all facilities shows we share the same vision of a more sustainable future. Together we can make a big difference and inspire others to choose better alternatives,” says Allen Mohammadi, CEO of Grale.
Grale’s pioneering technology for a plastic‑free future
Grale’s pioneering technology has been developed over several years with the aim of creating a cleaner, pollution‑free world. Since its 2018 launch, Grale has gained international recognition for environmentally friendly solutions that promote a sustainable, plastic‑free future. The company has received multiple industry awards for innovation, and its founders have been acknowledged among leading entrepreneurs for their impact on sustainable technology.
“Our breakthrough technology converts natural, plant‑based materials—such as agricultural residues and non‑edible plants—into sustainable products. These items are fully biodegradable and compostable while offering durability comparable to conventional plastic, without the harmful environmental effects,” says Allen Mohammadi, CEO of Grale.
