Stockholm, March 10, 2026 – Today marks the launch of Art of Code, a new IT consultancy founded by experienced company builders and technical leaders. The firm is established to help clients maximize the potential of AI while navigating an increasingly complex digital landscape.
Art of Code positions itself as a challenger that combines strategic advisory with deep technical craftsmanship. The founding team includes the people behind Cygni’s growth to 200 employees across seven offices and the company’s recognition as one of Europe’s best workplaces prior to its sale to Accenture in 2021. Starting with a handful of senior developers and a clear growth plan, Art of Code aims to help private and public sector clients capture real value from new technologies.
CEO and co-founder of Art of Code is Pär Tjärnberg, most recently head of Cygni’s Stockholm operations. He brings substantial experience as a company builder, developer and leader of large, complex technology projects. Co-founder and technical lead is Ali Abida, one of the entrepreneurs behind Cygni with more than 25 years as a systems developer and architect in complex, mission-critical environments.
There is a persistent myth that programmers will soon be obsolete—a comforting idea for those who have never worked directly with the tools. As AI handles more of the heavy lifting and routine details of code, the demand for those who understand and take responsibility for the results rises. Creating business value from technologies like agentic AI requires both broad systems knowledge and deep code-level understanding. We use AI as a natural accelerator to shorten development cycles and drastically improve quality, but it is strong technical understanding that determines whether and how the technology becomes mission-critical and sustainable. There is strong market demand for our expertise, says Pär Tjärnberg.
The company follows a deliberate growth plan that prioritizes technical excellence over rapid headcount expansion. Within 12 months Art of Code aims to grow to 10–15 employees, and to reach about 40 employees within four years.
