8x10 Cotton Canvas Boards — 12-Pack Primed Painting Panels
Product description
This pack contains twelve 8 x 10 inch canvas panels, each constructed with a 100% cotton surface that is hand-stretched and firmly adhered to a medium-density fiberboard core. The cotton keeps its natural tone and flexibility because it hasn’t been treated with harsh alkalines, so brushes move smoothly across the weave.
Each panel measures approximately 4 mm thick and is triple-primed with acid-free gesso. That multi-layer priming creates a sealed, evenly textured ground that helps preserve artwork and improves paint adhesion. Unprimed cotton weight is about 4 oz while the primed surface brings the weight to roughly 8 oz per panel.
The backing is a sturdy MDF board designed to resist bending, curling and deformation even when paint is applied across the surface. Panels are lightweight and easy to frame, mount, or glue onto wood or other supports for DIY projects.
These boards accept a wide range of media — acrylics, oils, tempera and mixed media — making them versatile for students, hobbyists, educators, and professionals. Their convenient size and pack count also make them practical for classroom activities, birthday parties, practice sessions and home decor projects.
Pros
- Smooth, triple-primed cotton surface
- Sturdy MDF backing resists warping
- Convenient 12-panel pack for practice or projects
Cons
- Panels are relatively thin compared to stretched canvases
- Some units may arrive with minor edge imperfections
- Not pre-mounted on stretchers—framing or backing needed for display
VerdictThese 8x10 cotton canvas boards deliver a dependable, economical painting surface. The cotton weave gives a pleasant tooth, the triple-primed gesso is ready for paint right away, and the MDF core keeps each panel flat and frame-ready. They’re well suited to beginners, educators and hobbyists who need consistent, warp-resistant panels in a bulk pack.

Good mix of quality and quantity
These fit our needs for two young painters at home. A couple arrived slightly bent, probably from tight wrapping, but overall still usable.

Perfect for a kids' canvas activity
Bought these for a birthday craft and they worked wonderfully for young painters. Some panels were wrapped individually and others were separated, which made setup quicker. Paint absorbed nicely and the size was just right for small hands.

Good starter panels for learners
These 8x10 cotton panels are an economical choice for beginners. Triple-primed gesso gives good adhesion and color payoff. A few panels feel thinner than premium stretched canvases but work well overall.
