Sigma Industry Spark, part of the Sigma group, is accelerating its presence in the capital. With ambitions to win more clients, attract more consultants and take on exciting software development assignments, the company is now taking the next step in its growth journey — strengthening the team by appointing Ulrika Wergens as the new Head of Section.
Sigma Industry Spark is a technical consulting firm specialized in systems and software development for embedded systems and IT. In Stockholm the company is now shaping a new offering that ranges from pure consultancy assignments to team deliveries and packaged services, tailored to meet market demand.

“There is a lot of momentum in Stockholm right now, especially within software. With Ulrika on board we gain a leader who blends commercial acumen and structure with warmth, drive and a clear focus on people. That is exactly the mix we want to build our team around,” says Mattias Karlsson, CEO of Sigma Industry Spark.
Ulrika Wergens brings extensive experience from the technology and consulting sectors, having served in roles such as business area manager, CEO, sales manager and head of consulting. She has studied economics, management and political science at Stockholm University and the University of South Florida. Although she is not an engineer by training, she has spent over 25 years leading technology-focused teams.

“I’m excited to help build something from the ground up with an open culture, strong team spirit and a long-term direction. The combination of entrepreneurial drive, security and an unpretentious culture makes me believe in what we will create together. And yes — being a fantasy enthusiast and a frisbee player comes as part of who I am,” says Ulrika Wergens, the newly appointed Head of Section at Sigma Industry Spark.
Spark is the newest addition to the Sigma Industry family in Stockholm and was launched in 2024. The team delivers consultancy services across a range of technology-intensive industries, including manufacturing, automotive, defence, life sciences, telecom and energy. The business is now ramping up with a focus on creating an environment where sharp minds and great personalities can thrive. The first consultant team is already in place and delivering to clients, while welcoming new colleagues into the community.
With a clear growth strategy, a broadened service offering and leadership that prioritizes people and collaboration, Sigma Industry Spark aims to become a strong, long-term partner for companies seeking software and systems expertise in Stockholm and beyond.
