Monoprice Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable — 6ft, 48Gbps, 8K/4K Ready
Product description
What’s included: one Monoprice Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI cable (6ft length). The cable is certified by an authorized HDMI test facility to meet Ultra High Speed HDMI specifications and ships ready to connect consumer AV equipment.
Performance and features: Engineered for up to 48Gbps throughput, this cable supports uncompressed 8K at 60Hz and native 4K at 120Hz. It also accommodates visually lossless VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2a) to enable up to 10K@120Hz where supported. The cable carries Dynamic HDR metadata so each scene or frame can be optimized for color, contrast and brightness, and it works with Dolby Vision. Audio compatibility includes eARC for full object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, ensuring modern AV receivers and soundbars can exchange high-resolution multichannel audio.
Build and installation: The cable is constructed with a durable braided outer jacket to resist cuts, kinks and everyday wear, and it’s designed for secure, snug connector engagement. It’s CL2 rated for in-wall installation where local code permits, making it appropriate for wall-mounted TVs and permanent runs behind entertainment furniture. The design is aimed at gamers and next-generation consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S — as well as modern 4K/8K displays and AV receivers.

Exactly what I needed
Worked flawlessly connecting my PC tower to a distant TV. No input lag while gaming and excellent audio/video performance. Cable is thick but very sturdy, length was ideal with some slack left.

Reliable 10ft HDMI 2.1 for gaming and AV
I bought the 10ft version to bridge my media center to a wall-mounted TV and it held up perfectly. No signal drops, handshake hiccups, or flicker even at 4K@120Hz. The braided sleeve keeps it tangle-free and the connectors feel solid. Tested with a console and a high-refresh TV — plenty of headroom for 8K@60Hz in the future.

Finally stable eARC
Swapping an old lead for this cable fixed frequent audio dropouts between my TV and soundbar. After a quick reset of both devices the eARC connection remained stable with no more interruptions.

Beat every cable I tried
I tested dozens of cables with an 8K60/4K120 setup and this Monoprice outperformed all of them, including a higher-priced competitor. No glitches, no black screens — complete reliability. I’m switching all my runs to this brand.

Solid HDMI 2.1 performance
Does exactly what it promises. Be mindful not to bend it sharply.

Great picture but snug fit
Image quality improved over my old cable and the assembly feels robust. The jacket is a bit stiff, which helps it keep form in tight spaces. One caveat: the plug doesn’t lock tightly on every device — a little movement can loosen the connection, so check fittings after cleaning.

Genuinely certified and well made
I was wary of low-cost cables claiming certification. This Monoprice cable comes from a trusted maker and met expectations: true Ultra High Speed capability without paying for flashy branding. Sturdy build and consistent performance make it our new preferred cable.
