Aluminum 8‑Port USB 3.0 Hub with 47in Long Cable
Product description
Overview: This compact multiport adapter provides seven USB 3.0 Type‑A data ports housed in an aluminum body and comes with a permanently attached 47‑inch cable for connecting to your computer. A USB‑C power input (5V/3A max) is included to supply extra power to the hub when multiple devices are attached.
Included and not included: The package contains the 8‑port hub itself (7 × USB‑A 3.0 ports plus a USB‑C power/input jack) with the long attached cable. A separate 5V power cable or charger is not included and must be supplied by the user when needed for high‑power peripherals.
Performance and use: Each USB‑A port supports USB 3.0 data rates (up to 5Gbps) for fast transfers — suitable for external drives, flash sticks, keyboards, mice and printers. The hub has a built‑in controller chip for stable connections and supports hot‑swapping with no driver install required (plug‑and‑play). When multiple USB 3.0 devices draw power, connect a Type‑C 5V/3A input to prevent voltage droop and ensure smooth operation. Note that the USB‑A ports are intended for data; they are not designed as dedicated charging outputs for phones or tablets.
Compatibility and build: The unit works with a wide range of systems, including recent MacBook Air/Pro models and major desktop OS versions (Windows Vista/XP, Mac OS X 10.6–10.12 and later, Linux 2.6.14+). The aluminum shell provides a lightweight but sturdy feel, and the port spacing accommodates bulkier USB plugs and adapters.
Practical tips: Place the hub where the long cable reaches easily, or fasten it near your case or workstation. If you plan to connect multiple external hard drives or other power‑hungry devices, be ready with a 5V/3A Type‑C power source to connect to the hub’s power input for optimal stability.

Useful powered USB‑A hub
Good data hub with the option to add power for devices. Limited to USB‑A and practical transfer speeds. Well made and dependable.

Cable length wins
The long cord is exactly what I wanted — previous hubs had cables that were too short. Very pleased with this one.

Declutters my setup
Great space saver — only a single cable and seven indicator lights are visible. I now run multiple plant grow lights with just one cord to the outlet. Brilliant idea!

Well spaced and flexible
My front panel had only one A port and I was daisy‑chaining short hubs. This single 8‑port unit fits better, the sockets are widely spaced for chunky plugs, and the long lead lets me mount it where it’s handy. Very satisfied.

Slim 7‑port hub doing the job
Works as expected. Quality feels good and it runs off USB so there’s no bulky power brick. It’s slim (about 4.5" × 1") and nearly weightless. I used it on my Series X with a headset dongle and two external drives without issues. The C port and a couple of A ports light up for easier plugging.
