Leather Finger Guards — 2 Pairs of Thimbles for Sewing & Felting
Product description
This set contains two pairs of leather finger protectors intended for hand sewing and needle felting. Each piece is cut from leather that is soft to the touch but built to resist punctures during repetitive crafting tasks.
Dimensions are provided for each style: the forefinger piece measures about 2.7 x 7.0 cm (1.06 x 2.76 in) and the thumb piece about 3.5 x 5.5 cm (1.38 x 2.17 in). Colors are shipped at random and will vary between orders.
The protectors are shaped to follow common hand-sewing positions, with designs for the thumb and index finger so they sit naturally during stitching or when holding small items. They are thin enough to allow you to feel the object you’re manipulating while providing a barrier against needle pricks and abrasion.
These guards are especially useful for needle felting and detailed DIY projects—strong enough to keep you safe but not so bulky that they interfere with dexterity. They also make a thoughtful gift for friends or family who enjoy handcrafts and want to avoid fingertip injuries.
Pros
- Durable leather construction
- Thin enough for good tactile feedback
- Two pairs provide spares or shared use
Cons
- Fit can be small for larger fingers
- Colors are random, not selectable
- Interior seams may feel rough for some users
VerdictA practical, low-profile solution for anyone who needs fingertip protection during hand stitching, needle felting, or small craft tasks. The leather construction balances durability with sensation, and the two-pair pack gives spare or replacement options. Fit varies, so smaller fingers may get a snug fit while larger fingers could need adjustments.

Fits my small fingers well
These fit my petite fingers comfortably and will be handy for fine work.

Very disappointing — strong odor and tiny
These are much smaller than pictured and have a foul smell that lingers on fingers even after washing. I cut some to try to make them usable. Would not recommend.

Saved several pairs of gloves
I used adhesive to attach these inside worn glove fingertips and they’ve held up. Tip: cut a small slit on the nail side, position it through the glove hole, apply glue with a cotton swab, remove and let cure overnight.

A usable thimble at last
I’ve tried many thimbles that didn’t fit. The leather one here fits my short, wide thumb without blocking movement, and the adjustable metal types worked after easing them open a bit.

Too small for adults
Well made but very small. They won’t fit an average adult’s first finger.

Handy for bookbinding and crafts
Useful for anyone doing bookbinding or other crafts that require fingertip protection. Compact and practical.

Not genuine leather feel
These feel like a leather-look plastic rather than real leather. They do protect against needle tips, but inner seams are rough and can rub uncomfortably until you find a better position.

Good protection for thick sewing
Real leather and a nice selection of sizes. A couple are roomy for my small fingers so I add a bit of tape for a snug fit. Recommend for older hands or anyone needing extra fingertip padding.
