Knog Oi Aluminium Handlebar Bike Bell — Compact 22.2mm Option
Product description
A distinctive two-note strike: a bright, high frequency tone that pierces urban background noise coupled with a lower harmonic that sustains for clarity and presence.
High-grade construction: the ringer is CNC-machined from 7075 aircraft aluminium for a refined appearance and solid feel. The spring is made from high-tensile stainless steel to resist corrosion and maintain consistent action.
What’s in the box: the bell assembly, a mounting shim for larger bars, and a single hex (Allen) key for tightening the clamp.
Simple clamp fit: the mount opens to clip over your handlebar so you don’t have to slide it on from the end. A single hex screw secures it to your chosen position — choose the small for 22.2 mm bars or the large to accommodate roughly 23.8–31.8 mm handlebars. Confirm where you want it positioned before selecting size.
Cable management built in: an integrated channel gathers brake and shifter cables neatly under the bell without interfering with its strike or your grip.
Design intent and use: the bell’s form follows the curve of the handlebar, refined through testing to balance reach, profile and acoustic performance. The striker delivers a firm, quick hit that produces a layered chime, offering both volume and a lasting tone so other road users can easily notice you.
Pros

Some users report the thumb lever can feel lightweight, and sound level may be softer than chunky traditional bells — weigh aesthetics and durabil

Compact and attention-getting
Very small — ideal for a mountain bike where snagging is a concern. Pleasant tone that reliably notifies others without being obtrusive.

Slim design, pleasantly loud tone
Perfect on a crowded e-bike handlebar — narrow profile within easy reach, solidly built and stays put. Installs easily even in tight spots. The sound is musical and loud enough for city use; I’m very happy with it.

Returned for looks and sound
My first unit failed when the spring mis-aligned, so I ordered another because I like its appearance so much. The sound is clear and striking, and the large size fits different bar diameters using the included shim. Hoping this replacement lasts.

Well integrated and professional
Performs reliably even in rain, though the tone becomes a bit diffuse when wet. In urban settings the sound is more audible and pleasant than most bells, and it keeps the handlebar looking tidy.

Stylish, functional and appropriately loud
Some say it’s quiet, but I find the volume adequate. The form is subtle so outsiders may not immediately recognize it as a bell. Overseas reports of a snapped spring likely come from heavy-handed use. I mounted it between brake and shifter — comes with an Allen key and clear warnings about overtightening.

Elegant and minimal
Stylish and minimal in appearance. Feels like the premium choice among bells.

Small, attractive and affordable
I wanted a compact bell that wouldn’t cost much. On my slightly tapered road bar finding the perfect mount point took some fiddling. Cable routing works well and the bell looks great. Installation is a bit fiddly and I wish it were louder and the paddle felt sturdier.

Nice looks but durability issue
Aesthetics and installation are excellent and it includes an Allen key. The chime isn’t the loudest. The plastic thumb lever split on day two for me; I’d prefer that part to be metal for longevity. Other versions with metal levers seem smarter.

Stylish and practical for city riding
Bought this for commuting in NYC (purchased summer 2018) and have used it for a year. I added it to my BMX to meet local safety rules and avoid fines. The bell looks great, sounds distinct among traffic noise, and has held up through daily urban use.
