IONOS uses the latest supercomputer technology to deliver advanced AI and data applications in a GDPR-compliant environment.
IONOS has been a pioneer in the European cloud landscape by deploying the NVIDIA DGX H200 system in its ISO-certified data centers. This integration, enabled through Cronon, represents a significant advance for businesses, research institutions, and public agencies seeking to harness state-of-the-art AI capabilities. NVIDIA DGX supercomputers provide the robust infrastructure required to develop multimodal AI applications, large language models (LLMs), and data-intensive simulations with scalable performance and improved energy efficiency.

By implementing the NVIDIA DGX H200, IONOS supports the entire AI customer journey. From an AI Model Hub to dedicated GPU servers, organizations can now train and deploy AI initiatives while remaining fully compliant with European regulations and data protection laws.
The DGX H200 is more than a single server component; it is a complete system built around eight NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs with 1128 GB HBM3e memory, engineered for large-scale workloads. These GPUs are interconnected via NVIDIA NVLink for a high-speed direct connection of 900 GB/s, and the architecture is further accelerated by NVIDIA NVSwitches offering up to 7.2 TB/s of bandwidth.
NVIDIA ConnectX-7 network adapters provide up to 400 GB/s of network throughput. The platform is powered by dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8480C processors totaling 112 cores, 2 TB of system memory, and a 30 TB NVMe SSD. These specifications meet the AI community’s demand for powerful and cost-effective training and inference environments.
IONOS operates the NVIDIA DGX H200 systems in European data centers, ensuring adherence to strict German and EU data protection standards. This makes the offering particularly suitable for regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, and public administration where data sovereignty and compliance are critical.
The impact of IONOS’s deployment is already evident. European AI company Noxtua uses DGX H200 to advance legal AI solutions for lawyers. The system plays a vital role in training a language model that complies with data protection requirements, positioning it among the first sovereign legal AI offerings in Europe.
