Dual-Surface Non-Slip Rug Pad — 4' x 6' Felt + Latex, 1/4"
Product description
What you get: a single rectangular rug pad sized 4 feet by 6 feet with a total thickness of 1/4 inch. The pad is a bonded construction of recycled felt on one face and a latex rubber gripper on the other.
Materials and dimensions: the top layer is dense recycled felt that provides cushioning, thermal insulation, and sound dampening; the bottom is a durable latex rubber designed to cling to many floor surfaces. The pad measures approximately 4' x 6' and is 1/4" thick, suitable for most area rugs and runners.
How to use: place the felt side up when the pad goes under rugs on hard floors to protect finishes and add cushion; flip the felt face down when placing it beneath rugs on carpet to improve traction between layers. Trim with household scissors to match rug edges or to fit around fixtures.
Care and maintenance: the pad can be vacuumed, shaken out, or wiped clean as needed. Its recycled felt construction is low-maintenance and designed for long-term use. The product carries a 1 Year Limited Manufacturing Defects Warranty and is manufactured in the United States.
Pros
- Strong grip on multiple floor types
- Reversible for hard floors or carpet

VerdictA reliable rug pad that combines plush recycled felt with a sticky latex underside to stop slipping, reduce noise, and add underfoot comfort. The reversible face makes it suitable for both hard and soft floors, and it trims easily for a custom fit. Well-built and backed by a 1-year limited manufacturing warranty, though some buyers report an initial chemical odor that fades with airing.

Great fit and feel
Perfect match for my new rug. Keeps it in place and adds a nicer underfoot spring.

Enhances rugs on hardwood
Placed under an area rug and it lies flat with strong grip. Easy to trim and I had no noticeable odor on the unit I received. Very happy with the result.

Perfect for a slippery runner
Made my kitchen runner stop sliding and added just enough padding. It unfolds easily without creases and is simple to move when sweeping. Very pleased with how well it holds the rug in place.

Good thickness, one odor issue
I bought the 3/8" for an 8x10 and the feel is plush without being a tripping hazard. It matched my rug size closely and the rubber bottom stays put. The only downside was a strong chemical smell that took several days and airing to lessen.

Works between carpet layers
Needed a non-slip layer between wall-to-wall carpet and a runner. This pad grips both surfaces and adds nice cushioning. It’s cuttable and you must orient the correct side up depending on flooring.

Worth buying repeatedly
I’ve purchased these several times as we set up rooms. They stay put on wood floors and the 3/8" height adds comfortable padding without creating trips. Trimming can be fiddly, but overall excellent value.

Solid upgrade for noisy floors
Replaced thin IKEA pads and noticed a big drop in creaks and sound transfer. The 4x6 size was accurate and it laid flat without wrinkles. There was a faint chemical smell out of the box, but once the rug was placed it wasn’t noticeable. The 1/4" thickness gives a satisfying cushion to stiffer rugs.

Good performance but strong smell
Provides non-slip hold and cushioning as advertised, but mine had a persistent, unpleasant odor even after weeks of airing. I returned it for that reason.

Holding up well so far
Installed recently and performance has been good; holding flat and preventing movement.

Severe odor problem — caution
Ordered multiple pads and experienced an overpowering, nauseating smell that didn’t dissipate outdoors or indoors. The odor worsened with heat and affected my home’s air; manufacturer mentioned a bad batch. I reported this due to safety concerns.

Exactly what I needed
Used under a fuzzy 4x6 rug that had no grip. This pad fits true to size and provides good padding—thicker than I expected and comfortable to kneel on. The bottom grips laminate well and the top keeps the rug from shifting.

Simple and effective
Used under two bedroom rugs in a bay window and the padding and grip are just what we wanted. Very pleased with the product.

Ideal for thin, hand-woven rugs
Bought an 8x10 for a delicate Aubusson and it fit perfectly without trimming. The pad isn’t springy like hotel-style foam but its thickness and density protect thin woven rugs, make vacuuming easier, and give comfortable support.
