Check Point Software Technologies has introduced Infinity AI Copilot, its first-generation AI-driven cybersecurity solution.

The tool is designed to address the global shortage of cybersecurity professionals by improving the productivity and effectiveness of security teams through intelligent generative AI automation and assistance.

Empowering security teams with AI

As cyber threats continue to rise—ransomware attacks increased by 90% in 2023—the need for advanced solutions is more critical than ever.

Eyal Manor, VP of Product Management at Check Point Software Technologies, said: “With Infinity AI Copilot we are entering a new era of cybersecurity where human and machine collaboration is central.”

Addressing cybersecurity challenges and talent shortages

The launch of Infinity AI Copilot comes at a time when the industry is grappling with a shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals.

Frank Dickson, Group Vice President at IDC, commented: “Harnessing AI to drive better security outcomes is a top priority for CISOs as they confront both an expanding threat landscape and a talent gap. When selecting an AI-driven cybersecurity solution, CISOs look for return on investment through increased productivity and improved efficiency.”

Infinity AI Copilot is currently available in preview, with full availability expected in the second quarter of 2024. Future enhancements will include proactive assistance and autonomous policy management capabilities.

Check Point unveils partner program

Alongside Infinity AI Copilot, Check Point Software announced a revitalized partner program designed to strengthen partner capabilities and support industry growth.

Francisco Criado, Check Point’s VP for the Global Partner Ecosystem Organization, said: “In light of the current climate and the rising frequency of cyber threats, we are launching a new partner program to help our partners accelerate their efforts to deliver the best cybersecurity.”

The program is built to boost partner performance, streamline operations, and enable partners to leverage Check Point’s comprehensive security offerings more effectively.

“Check Point has transformed its partner program, signaling a significant shift in approach. The structure enables us to develop stronger skills and deliver more value to our customers,” said Kin Mitra, CEO and Group Managing Director at Mission Critical Systems.

The enhanced program aligns strategically with Check Point’s end-to-end, AI-driven, cloud-delivered security platform, enabling partners to tackle a broad range of cybersecurity challenges and opportunities.

Molly Rouch, CEO and co-founder of Six Degrees Consulting, added: “The program’s emphasis on specialization and certification aligns with our commitment to providing top-tier security services, ensuring our customers receive the best possible protection against potential threats.”

According to Canalys, cybersecurity spending recently reached £14.9 billion (US$19 billion), reflecting growing demand for collaborative security solutions.

“The streamlined processes and transparent decision-making shorten our sales cycle and enable faster customer decisions,” said Jörg Posewang, CEO of NetUSE.

As technology evolves, so do cyber threats. Organizations are increasingly turning to channel partners for guidance on their cybersecurity solutions, regulatory compliance, and building cyber resilience.

Channel partners are well positioned to communicate the value of cybersecurity solutions effectively while addressing the specific needs and concerns posed by current and emerging threats.

Han Juat Hoon, Chief Operating Officer at M.TECH Products Pte Ltd, noted: “This updated partner program introduces innovative elements, notably the Private Early Availability Program, which provides our valued business partners and internal teams with early access to upcoming releases, on-site support, and the opportunity to influence cybersecurity products, helping us stay ahead in the dynamic cybersecurity landscape.”
