Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) unveiled a comprehensive set of cybersecurity and resilience solutions at the Black Hat USA conference. Using a layered approach, these innovations aim to protect organizations from the growing threat of cyberattacks. Announcements include a consolidated network security portfolio and a strategic partnership with cybersecurity leader CrowdStrike.
For the first time since acquiring Juniper Networks, HPE showcased its integrated network security offering that combines technologies from HPE Aruba Networking and HPE Juniper Networking. The new solutions focus on strengthening network security and protecting hybrid cloud environments.
AI-driven security and enhanced network control
A standout innovation is the introduction of a new SASE copilot for HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect. This AI assistant analyzes network activity and security risks, delivering precise, actionable insights to close vulnerabilities and monitor network health. It reinforces HPE’s zero-trust strategy, where no device or user is trusted by default.
Additionally, HPE Aruba Networking Central NAC (Network Access Control) expands its functionality by applying zero-trust policies across both HPE Juniper Networking and third-party devices. This provides organizations with greater control and consistency across their entire network.
Data protection with HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000
To boost enterprise resilience against cyber threats, HPE introduced the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, an advanced data protection platform. HPE positions it as the world’s fastest backup storage for enterprises. Its all-flash architecture is specifically designed to deliver ultra-fast backup and recovery times—critical for industries like financial services and healthcare.
With backup speeds up to 1.2 petabytes per hour, the solution is nearly twice as fast as its closest competitor. This enables organizations to restore data in minutes, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity. The scalable architecture also allows capacity and performance to be increased independently as data needs grow.
Partnership with CrowdStrike strengthens cyber resilience
HPE Zerto Software launched a new integrations hub that provides third-party applications access to Zerto data. CrowdStrike is the exclusive launch partner for this hub. The collaboration combines leading threat detection with robust cyber recovery capabilities.
The integration allows organizations to detect malicious activity in real time using the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. When a threat is identified, HPE Zerto can restore virtual machines and applications to a clean recovery point just seconds before the attack. The integration also accelerates recovery within the HPE Cyber Resilience Vault, a fully isolated zero-trust environment for ransomware protection and recovery.
Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “By combining the power of our AI-based Falcon platform with HPE Zerto’s recovery capabilities, we enable organizations to stop intrusions, minimize downtime, and maintain business continuity—even in the face of ransomware and other disruptive threats.”
These announcements underline HPE’s vision to deliver a layered, zero-trust security strategy that covers an organization’s entire IT estate—from networking to storage and systems. The new solutions will be available immediately or during the fourth quarter of 2025.
