TCS and Anthropic Partner Globally to Scale Enterprise AI Deployment

IT and consulting firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a strategic partnership with AI company Anthropic. The collaboration aims to help enterprise customers deploy Anthropic’s AI model Claude at scale. TCS will create a dedicated business unit focused on delivering customer value and joint industry solutions powered by Claude models.

AI initiatives in regulated industries often stall at the pilot stage due to strict requirements for accuracy, auditability and oversight. This partnership is designed to address those challenges. By combining TCS’s governance and implementation expertise with Anthropic’s technology, organizations can move Claude from experimentation into reliable production environments.

TCS will give 50,000 of its own employees across engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales access to Claude. Using the technology internally will generate operational insights that TCS can apply when supporting customers.

Together, TCS and Anthropic will offer AI solutions and services across multiple sectors including financial services, government, life sciences, healthcare, aviation and telecommunications. They plan to co-develop solutions for specific workflows, modernization initiatives and improved customer experiences, supported by TCS’s consulting, engineering and operations services.

Partnership in practice

The collaboration includes concrete, industry-focused implementations. In the UK, TCS subsidiary Diligenta will use Claude to enhance the customer experience for 22 million pensioners. In India, the TCS iON platform—which currently administers 75 million annual examinations, including large-scale university entrance and government recruitment tests—will add Claude training and certification to help build an AI-ready workforce.

Enterprise AI delivers value when you understand business context, manage complex systems and apply deep AI expertise. By combining Claude with our industry knowledge and engineering capabilities, we will help clients reach production faster, especially in sectors where trust and regulatory compliance are critical,” said K Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS.

We built Claude to be safe, reliable and helpful, particularly in scenarios where precision matters most. This partnership deepens our commitment in India, our second-largest market, by enabling TCS to bring Claude to enterprises and professionals in the region and globally, including 50,000 of its own employees,” said Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic.

This partnership reflects our shared belief that AI will be foundational and transformative for businesses worldwide. By combining Anthropic’s capabilities with the Tata group’s scale and trust capital, we will accelerate transformation for enterprises and equip India’s youth with the skills to lead in the AI era,” said N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons.
