Coromatic Expands Operations to Luleå: New Facility Opens

Coromatic, part of the E.ON Group and the Nordic region’s leading provider of mission-critical infrastructure solutions for data centers and backup power, is strengthening its presence in Norrbotten by establishing operations in Luleå. This move is part of the company’s long-term strategy to meet growing demand for reliable, uninterrupted power supply and data communication in the region.

Luleå becomes the hub for northern Sweden

The Luleå office will serve as Coromatic’s central hub in the far north of Sweden and is expected to employ around ten people by autumn, roughly half of whom will be new recruits.

Rising need for secure infrastructure

“The electrification and digitalization of society, combined with a worsened security environment, make us more vulnerable to disruptions in power and data communication. At the same time, much of Sweden’s growth in green industrial investments is happening in the north—efforts that depend entirely on stable power and data infrastructure,” says Peter Neuberg, CEO and Group President of Coromatic.

Coromatic’s services

Coromatic provides expert consulting and solutions for data centers, backup power and uninterrupted power supply, along with service and operational support. With 24/7 service, the company ensures reliable power and data communication for critical operations such as hospitals, airports and data centers.

Opening in August

Coromatic’s new office will open in August 2025 in the Ytterviken Industrial Area. The facility includes both a workshop and office space. The company plans multiple recruitments for roles such as sales representatives, service technicians and project managers.

Strong local demand

“We have seen a significant increase in demand for our services over recent years and already serve several major customers in northern Sweden across industry and energy sectors, as well as municipal and regional organizations. The mix of established industry and emerging new sectors—both requiring continuous power—combined with Luleå’s long-term commitment as a data center hub, makes the city an ideal location for our expansion,” says Peter Neuberg.

Positive response from Luleå municipality

Josefine Wihlzon, head of business development for Luleå Municipality, welcomes the establishment as a positive addition for the region:

“Coromatic’s expertise in critical infrastructure fills an important role for both industry and the wider community. We welcome their investment in Luleå and look forward to following their development here.”

Collaboration with the municipality

“We appreciate the support we have received from Luleå Municipality during our establishment. They have been a valuable partner throughout the process, and we look forward to continued cooperation now that we are local,” Peter Neuberg concludes.
