2 in x 40 ft Silicone Door Seal Strip — Self-Adhesive Weather Seal
Product description
What you get: one continuous 40 ft roll of silicone door sealing strip, 2 inches wide and 0.08 inches (2 mm) thick. The material is soft, pliable silicone that resists temperature extremes and gradual degradation, giving it corrosion and aging resistance for long service life.
Adhesive: the strip uses an upgraded acrylic adhesive backing on the roll; a protective release liner covers the adhesive until installation. The glue bonds to many common surfaces — glass, tile, marble, metal, wood and a range of plastics — and can regain tack after getting wet once the surface dries.
Performance: the seal is made to block wind, rain, dust, insects, and reduce noise transfer and impact at door edges. It fits gaps from 0 to 1 inch and helps prevent conditioned air from escaping through side or bottom clearances, saving energy and stabilizing indoor temperatures.
Installation: apply by peeling away the protective liner and pressing the tape into place; trim to length with scissors or a utility knife. For best adhesion, ensure the mounting surface is flat, clean and dry before applying. In cold months warming the adhesive with a hair dryer can improve stickiness during placement.
Applications: available in multiple colors and usable on a variety of doors and windows — frameless sliding glass doors, shower and glass doors, wooden exterior doors, closet doors and aluminum frames. The roll format allows custom lengths for side and bottom sweeps across residences, offices and utility areas.

Good fit on glass
Perfect size for my glass door, easy to install and so far holding strong — seems worth it.

Great for shower doors
Adheres firmly to glass shower doors and solved my leakage without buying pricey replacement seals.

Finally a door sweep that stays
I wanted a gray 2 in sweep that actually sticks — this one does. Color matches the picture and it’s stayed put after a week of regular use. The thin release liner is easy to peel off incorrectly, so take it slow; I had to reposition one spot and it reattached fine. No strong smell.

Didn’t work for me
I couldn’t get it to stick and found it hard to cut. Not a good experience.

Does the job
Peeling the liner was a bit fiddly, but once in place it stops cold air. Cuts cleanly and the room feels warmer.

Holds strong in an odd gap
Used it between panels on a sliding glass door with a pet flap. The adhesive grabbed quickly and closed the big air leak. No more breeze coming through so far.

Stopped the cold air
This strip fixed our draft problem without jamming the door. It stuck down well and was simple to trim with scissors — the silicone is thick and bends to uneven frames for a tight seal. Highly recommended.
