    Hard-to-find corded style — glad I found these

    Corded bamboo blinds have been scarce at big box retailers for years and our old ones had deteriorated. This version is even better than previous models I owned, so I bought a second for another door. Hope they remain available.

    Mold developed after a month

    They arrived looking lovely on our deck and seemed suitable for outdoors, but within about a month I noticed mold forming 4–6 inches down from the top on all four blinds. Any tips on prevention?

    Very pleased with the result

    Unexpectedly solid construction for the cost. Quick to mount and they cut heat and glare without plunging the room into darkness. Would recommend.

    Replacement arrived after long delay

    I originally received two blinds wrapped tightly and thought one was missing; one had a crack in the top rail. The seller did send a replacement but both shipments took many weeks. Not wanting another long wait, I repaired the cracked rail with glue and a clamp, which fixed it. The shades are simple in design and work well now, so I'm increasing my rating from one star to four due to the prolonged delivery issues.

    Good value but note three issues

    They look elegant in the window, but: 1) they filter light rather than fully darken a room; 2) room lighting at night can still reveal silhouettes to outside viewers; and 3) the shipping wrap is so tight it’s easy to nick a cord when unwrapping.
