Ultralight 4" Inflatable Backpacking Sleeping Pad — Compact Air Mat
Product description
Four-inch thickness and body-hugging channels: This inflatable pad lifts you four inches (about 10 cm) off the ground. Raised, contoured side rails and S-curve internal chambers are designed to cradle your body and help keep you centered so hips and shoulders don’t slide toward the edges. The pad is intended for side, back, and stomach sleepers.
Dimensions and fit: The mat measures 75.2 inches (191 cm) in length and 22.4 inches (57 cm) in width, suitable for most adults up to roughly 6.1 ft (1.86 m). The profile provides a usable sleeping surface that keeps feet and torso supported; as with many pads the usable middle surface can be a touch shorter than the total length.
Inflation and compatibility: The pad inflates by mouth in a few minutes using an enlarged circular valve for faster airflow. It also accepts standard inflators or pump sacks for quicker inflation and easier overnight topping-up. The valve opens wide for rapid deflation as well, allowing the pad to be rolled down compactly.
Weight and pack size: Weighing roughly 750 g (about 26.5 oz) depending on manufacturing variance, it compacts to approximately 7.3 in × 4.7 in (18.5 cm × 12 cm) when rolled and stored. The small packed footprint makes it easy to carry in a backpack or toss in a travel bag for car camping.
Materials and temperature rating: Constructed from 40D nylon with a water-resistant coating to resist light abrasion and morning dew. The estimated R-value of about 1.6–2 makes this a three-season pad suited to spring, summer, and mild fall conditions above freezing; it is not intended for winter or sub-freezing use.
Versatile uses and pairing: Suitable for tent and hammock use, this pad works well as an inflatable camp mattress for backpacking, car camping, or minimalist travel. Pair it with a compact camping pillow or a thin closed-cell foam layer underneath for extra insulation and to reduce slipperiness. A small repair patch and stuff sack are handy extras to carry on long trips.
Pros
- Thick 4" profile with contoured sides for better comfort
- Lightweight and packs down very small for easy carry
- Durable 40D water-resistant nylon for abrasion and dew resistance
Cons
- Low R-value — not suitable for sub-freezing temperatures
- Heavier than the lightest ultralight pads
- Surface can be slightly slippery without an underlayer or bag
VerdictA solid, budget-friendly inflatable pad that prioritizes comfort and packability. The 4-inch height and contoured S-channel design give much better off-ground cushioning than many ultralight options, and the large valve makes inflation and deflation fast. Built from 40D water-resistant nylon for abrasion resistance and dew protection, it’s best for spring through mild fall trips above freezing. Ex

Perfect upgrade for comfort-conscious backpackers
Replaced a thinner pad with this one and immediately noticed the difference. Around 3.5–4 inches inflated so nothing touches the ground, even on my side. A small hand pump or mini electric pump helps — with a compact pump this fills in about 70 seconds; by mouth it takes many more breaths.

Compact, light, and comfortable
I’ve tried several mats over the years and this one is genuinely comfortable. It’s lightweight so the fabric is thin, which can make it more puncture-prone, and it makes a little plastic noise when you shift, but it’s not bothersome. Worth the purchase.

Light and comfy after several outings
Still going strong after three trips. I usually inflate it halfway to a bit above and it’s very comfortable. Impressed with the performance.

Frustrating leak after a trip
Very disappointed. After a week away the pad developed a slow leak and needed topping up at night. No visible puncture. I’ve liked other gear from the brand but this unit failed to hold air reliably.

Sturdy and dependable
Feels robust and well-made. Slightly heavier than some premium ultralight options, but still a solid choice if you want more durability and comfort.

Performs very well on the trail
Solid value for the money. I used this on a backpacking trip with a thin closed-cell pad beneath and a 40°F bag on top — it was warmer and more comfortable than my old car-camping set-up. The pad proved stable and not slippery once I had the foam layer under it. I weighed mine at 24.1 oz including stuff sack and patch kit. The valve is a larger size than cheap air mattresses and hoses/pumps fit well.

Very good product — comfortable and compact
Spent a few days lounging on this mat. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and packs small without any plastic smell. Recommended.

Better than expected for the price
Surprised by how comfortable and durable this pad is. Inflated and left for three days to test retention with no issues, then used it for a week of camping — held air the whole trip. It handled rough treatment and still performed well. Some may find it a bit noisy when moving, but I slept great on it.

Very comfortable for warm-weather trips
My go-to pad for warm-weather outings. Not the lightest, but worth the extra ounces for better sleep. I measured total packed weight lower than the spec and stayed comfortable in mid-to-upper 50s F; I wouldn’t trust it below about 50°F. It looks tougher than some competing pads and the sleep surface is extremely comfortable for side sleepers. Inflation is straightforward.

Great for family camping and comfort-first trips
Used it all weekend and never bottomed out. At 4 inches thick I stayed off the ground and my sleep quality was as good as at home. It held air overnight every night and includes repair patches. The lowest night was 53°F and it kept me comfortable. One minor gripe: the fabric is a bit slick against some tents or sleeping bags.

Highly recommended — great investment
Best camping purchase I’ve made. Inflates quickly and deflates easily. Very compact and light; I use it over a thin foam pad and the weight spreads evenly. I love it — strongly recommended.

Excellent initial build and comfort
First impressions are great. I tested it for 15–20 minutes and it felt solid. Took about 17 full breaths to inflate by mouth; a pump sack speeds that up considerably. I’m 6'1", 235 lbs and when I lie on my side my hips and shoulders are raised about 1.5–2 inches off the ground. The ends stick out a bit, so while specs list ~75 in, the usable middle is closer to 74 in for me. Width is reasonable — on my back my arms sit near the edge, but in a sleeping bag it’s not an issue. Side sleeping is well supported.
