HydraPak Contour 2L Hydration Reservoir — Lightweight Hydration Bladder
Product description
Fits most backpacks: The reservoir uses an updated Slide Seal top with an integrated universal hanger that clips into hooks, loops and strap mounts on a wide range of hydration packs.
Slim profile and stable carry: A 3D molded bottom, fixed Shape‑Loc internal baffles and a side‑exit hose port keep the bladder from shifting during vigorous movement, making it suitable for hiking, trail running and hunting.
High‑flow bite valve and hose: The included Comet bite valve provides a generous flow and self‑seals after each sip. A thumb‑operated shutoff adds protection against accidental flow. The kit ships with a length of flexible tubing and a magnetic hose clip for quick positioning.
Easy to fill, carry and clean: A durable, flexible handle on the Slide Seal top makes filling and transport straightforward. The bladder is fully reversible so you can turn it inside out to dry, and the wide opening simplifies hand washing or dishwasher cleaning if desired.
What’s included and build notes: Comes as a complete reservoir assembly — clear flexible reservoir body (2 L capacity), detachable drinking tube, Comet bite valve with thumb lock, magnetic tube clip and universal hanger. The construction is made from a durable, pliable film designed for repeated use and easy handling. Multiple sizes are offered to suit different trip lengths.
Warranty and brand: The product is covered by a Beyond Lifetime Guarantee that protects against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product. The design emphasizes practical features for outdoor use and straightforward maintenance.

Terrible plastic taste in the tubing
I replaced an old bladder and this fit great, but the tubing smelled horribly of plastic. Multiple washes didn’t remove the chemical odor and it made the water undrinkable on a camping trip. I had to rely on a spare bottle — the reservoir itself seemed fine, but the hose was unusable.

Ideal replacement bladder
Very satisfied — the quick‑release hose and the sliding handle are much improved over my old bladder. I’ve used it several times without any problems.

Works but seal can be tricky
Sometimes the top is hard to fully close. It functions well in a CamelBak that wasn’t tailored for this bladder. The tube stays closed until you bite to drink.

Very good and clever design
Very good. The side hose exit doesn’t interfere with pack placement and it’s easy to load into my backpack.

Perfect for backpacking and runs
Bought the 3L for a Hawaii trip and have used it for hikes and trail runs since. No leaks, wide opening for cleaning, and I hang it inside‑out to dry. No sleeve needed for my pack — great design.

Excellent support after a tiny leak
Product quality is great overall. When a small leak appeared it was replaced quickly under the guarantee with minimal hassle. Good after‑sales service.

Worked great in my hunting pack
Took this on a Wyoming hunt and it fit my pack perfectly. One reservoir lasted the day, the valve didn’t drip, and after an initial slight taste that went away it performed well. It feels rugged and the valve locks to prevent spills.

Solid upgrade for daypacks
Bought two to upgrade our Teton day packs and glad I did. The bladder keeps its shape, the flow nozzle is easier for me to use than a bite‑only valve, and it fits the bag well. A bit costly but I’d buy it again.

No leaks on my Utah hikes
After comparing options I picked this bladder for desert hikes and it held up with no leaks. Cleaning was simple with soap and water, and I noticed no strange aftertaste. The mouthpiece is easy to use and I packed camera gear with no issues. It’s more expensive than budget bladders, but the leak‑free performance made it worthwhile. Highly recommend for hiking.
