TERENCE Mechanical Metronome — Portable Metronome for Piano, Guitar & Violin
Product description
Upgraded mechanical movement: This metronome is driven by a full metal mechanical movement paired with a metal accent bell, producing a crisp, audible tick that’s easy to hear in practice settings. The robust metal internals are designed for longevity so you won’t have to wind it constantly.
Accurate tempo marking: A precise beat helps you concentrate on timing and build consistent rhythmic control during practice sessions. Use it to internalize beats, pace scales, etudes and pieces so your sense of tempo becomes steadier over time.
Premium construction: The outer shell is molded from durable ABS that maintains a bright finish and resists yellowing. The transparent-style housing also highlights the mechanism while remaining lighter and less fragile than glass.
Fine adjustment details: The face features a clear, raised scale and the tempo range spans 40–208 BPM. The pendulum rod is made of copper-plated metal to resist corrosion and swings to set the speed. A hardened metal winding knob offers good grip and wear resistance for regular use.
What’s included and uses: Includes one wind-up mechanical metronome. Its compact, portable form fits on a piano ledge, music stand or practice table. Suitable for piano, violin, guitar, saxophone, bass, drum practice and dance training where an audible, mechanical tempo reference is preferred.

See-through mechanism is neat
The transparent case lets you watch the gears while it runs. Sturdy build, no batteries needed, and it keeps a steady tempo for piano practice.

Practical and attractive on the piano
Clearly labeled settings make it intuitive. Fits nicely on the piano ledge and looks good when guests are over. Wind-up time is short, but fine for focused practice sections.

Lovely for a beginner
A new student loves this mechanical metronome. It’s attractive and simple to use. Not as exact as digital gadgets, but enjoyable and effective.

Pendulum stops moving
Doesn't work for me—when wound the pendulum won't keep swinging, as if the gears are too tight.

Looks nice but timing off
It’s attractive, but at slower settings the tempo isn’t accurate and drifts.

Feels cheaply made
Construction seems lower quality than expected. Plasticky parts and some misfits—would not recommend.

Works once you remove packing
After figuring out how to get the protective foam out, the metronome runs and looks lovely. I’ll upgrade my rating once I fully remove the styrofoam.

Wish assembly note was included
I bent the pendulum trying to free it—turns out you must remove the bottom and take out a small foam pad first. A note would help.
