Sigma Technology Partners with Daya Ventures to Boost Women’s Health

Sigma Technology is proud to announce its partnership with Daya Ventures, the world’s first femtech venture studio. Daya Ventures aims to close the more than $1 trillion health gap between the sexes by creating fast-growing, high-impact startups. Their mission aligns closely with Sigma Technology’s commitment to fostering an equitable and respectful workplace by supporting initiatives that promote education, equality, and inclusion.

The gender health gap

Although women make up half of the world’s population, they spend 25% more of their lives in debilitating health than men, according to McKinsey’s Women’s Health Gap Report (2024). This disparity stems from insufficient clinical research and a lack of targeted investment in women’s health.

Daya Ventures – a pioneering femtech venture studio

Daya is the world’s first femtech venture studio, building the next generation of fast-growing startups to address the gender health gap estimated at more than $1 trillion. By collaborating with researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders, Daya identifies and validates real needs and builds startups from the ground up.

Sigma Technology’s commitment to innovation and equality

“We are impressed by the enormous work the Daya team has achieved in a short time; they have grown into an international femtech venture studio. At Sigma we strongly believe entrepreneurship is a catalyst for innovation and progress. By partnering with Daya, we hope to make a meaningful impact on women’s health,” says Nataly Lamkén, Chief Communications Officer at Sigma Technology Group.

The tech industry’s role in the femtech movement

“We are delighted to have Sigma Technology supporting Daya’s mission to close the gender health gap. This collaboration reinforces our belief that the tech industry can accelerate the femtech movement, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in women’s health innovation by co-designing technology that is more inclusive and responsible,” says Jenny Lundkvist, Chief People Officer at Daya Ventures.

Femmegineering and Sigma Technology’s ongoing work

Together with sister companies within the Sigma Group, Sigma Technology leads Femmegineering, the organization’s global initiative dedicated to building a community of professional female engineers and experts. Femmegineering works to create a fairer, more inclusive tech industry. This partnership with Daya is a natural extension of Sigma’s commitment to advancing equality within technology.
