Omegapoint Stockholm Appoints Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck as New CEO

Omegapoint continues to grow and is becoming an increasingly prominent provider of cyber-secure digitalization. As part of the company’s ongoing development, Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck has been appointed new CEO of Omegapoint Stockholm effective 1 September 2024. Outgoing Stockholm CEO Anna-Clara Söderbaum will now focus fully on her role as Sweden Country Manager.

A strategic change to drive growth

Omegapoint Stockholm, with 330 employees, represents nearly half of Omegapoint’s operations in Sweden. In addition to Stockholm, Omegapoint’s Swedish presence includes Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala and Örebro, and the company increasingly operates as a national provider that offers clients access to the full Swedish organization. Leadership development in Stockholm is part of a planned, long-term strategy to further accelerate the company’s growth and support Omegapoint’s vision to become the market leader in the Nordics.

Anna-Clara comments on the leadership transition:

“I’m very pleased that Wilhelm is taking over as CEO for Stockholm. Wilhelm brings deep technical expertise from his consulting work in cybersecurity-focused system development and system architecture. He is also an experienced project manager, business consultant and quality assurer. Wilhelm represents Omegapoint’s competence-driven culture by actively contributing to Omegapoint Academy and by sharing knowledge both internally and with our clients and partners. He is sharp and kind and represents Omegapoint in every way.

I am convinced that Wilhelm will contribute significantly to Omegapoint Sweden’s continued development. Beyond a solid background, he has a unique ability to think outside the box, understand where Omegapoint is heading and identify what we need to do to become an even more valuable partner for our clients across the Nordics.”

Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck: From trainee to CEO

Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck is a trained civil engineer who began his journey in Omegapoint’s trainee program in 2017. Since then he has built an impressive career. He has delivered value as a technical consultant, advanced to team leader and taken full delivery responsibility for some of the company’s largest cybersecurity digitalization projects.

Early on Wilhelm developed an interest in the business and quality dimensions of Omegapoint’s deliveries and grew a deep understanding of clients’ needs in his role as a business consultant. In 2022 he took on the role of Head of Delivery, focusing on ensuring quality, methods and processes across the company’s deliveries. In 2024 he was appointed Deputy CEO of Omegapoint Stockholm, and now he steps fully into the role of CEO.

Wilhelm is enthusiastic about his new position:

“Omegapoint holds a unique position in the market through our combination of advanced digitalization and cybersecurity. With today’s technological development, the two cannot be separated, and by applying a ‘Secure by Design’ mindset we help our clients think security from the start — both in relation to their own operations and external regulations. Proactively combining technology and security in this way creates greater business value for our clients.

We are shifting from being a supplier that provides expert competence to building deeper partnership relationships with our clients where we take overall responsibility for development and security within their organizations. At the same time, the entire industry is challenged by skills shortages. At Omegapoint we actively work on competence development as a core part of our operations. Because external expectations and technological change never stand still, we must continue to deepen our development and invest in our people so we can maintain and expand our offerings and remain a relevant provider in the market.”

A shared vision for the future

Both Anna-Clara and Wilhelm are optimistic about the future. Together they share a vision for Omegapoint’s growth in Stockholm and across Sweden.

“We want to be a comprehensive provider of digitalization, cybersecurity and information security solutions. Omegapoint should be synonymous with cyber-secure digitalization and continue its journey toward becoming the market leader in the Nordics. I am confident that Wilhelm, with his experience and ability to think innovatively, will play a major role in Omegapoint’s continued success,” says Anna-Clara.

“I will continue to drive Stockholm forward with full force so we can meet market demand for our services and cement our position as a thought leader in cyber-secure digitalization.”
