Pax8 Tom Gavin strengthens the company’s global marketing strategy as he assumes the role of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Pax8, the leading global marketplace for cloud commerce.
In his new role as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), Tom Gavin will lead the company’s global marketing, brand strategy and communications efforts. His focus will be on advancing Pax8’s position as a driving force in cloud commerce, AI and managed intelligence.
Gavin will also play a central role in shaping the company’s narrative and voice across the industry — combining data, creativity and strategy to strengthen relationships with partners and customers. He reports directly to Nick Heddy, CEO and Chief Commerce Officer at Pax8.
Experience with global brands and the public sector
With nearly three decades of leadership experience in both the private and public sectors, Tom Gavin brings a wide-ranging skillset spanning communications, marketing, public engagement and brand building.
He has held influential roles at some of the world’s most dynamic organizations, including the White House where he worked on strategic communications, and technology companies such as Salesforce, Coupa and Workato.
He also served as head of communications for the global advocacy organization ONE Campaign, founded by musician Bono, where he led international initiatives focused on social change and strategic partnerships.

This background has positioned Gavin at the intersection of technology, storytelling and business development — a blend Pax8 leadership says will be crucial as the company enters its next phase of growth.

In 2026 Pax8 plans to expand its presence across Europe, Asia and Latin America. Gavin will play a key role in these efforts by building regional marketing and communications teams and creating more integrated campaigns with Pax8’s growing partner network.
He will also develop Pax8’s thought leadership initiatives, sharing insights on the future of cloud, AI strategy and digital transformation. By increasing visibility at industry conferences, on social channels and in the press, Pax8 aims to cement its role as the voice for Managed Intelligence Providers (MIPs) globally.
