Nexer announces that the company has been awarded a framework agreement by the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) for IT consultancy services. As one of four approved suppliers, Nexer will provide IT consulting to the Swedish Armed Forces and the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the next three years, with an option to extend the agreement for up to seven years in total.
The framework agreement, effective from 21 April 2025, carries a ceiling volume of 2,145 MSEK and covers IT consulting services across three main competence areas:
- IT systems
- IT systems testing
- IT and information security
Purpose of the procurement and expected outcomes
The procurement aims to support the IT operations of the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV by supplying the required expertise and resources for development, management, operation, maintenance and support of their IT systems. This includes both new and legacy systems, as well as in-house developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
The objective is to secure supply reliability and flexibility by partnering with reputable, quality-focused and committed framework suppliers. The agreement enables procuring the right competencies when needed, obtaining market-based pricing and cost-effectiveness, and establishing effective supplier collaboration at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
Demand for IT consultants will be nationwide, although most assignments are expected to be located in and around Stockholm and the Mälaren Valley region. The procurement includes security protection agreements under the Security Protection Act, ensuring that all assignments are carried out in accordance with the highest security standards.
“We are very pleased to have been awarded this framework agreement by the Swedish Armed Forces. It confirms our competence and commitment to delivering high-quality IT consultancy services. We look forward to collaborating with the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV to support their IT operations and contribute to their success,” says Lars Kry, CEO of Nexer Group.
Susanne Paulsson, head of public sector at Nexer Group, adds:
“This framework agreement demonstrates confidence in Nexer to deliver critical IT services within one of the nation’s most important security sectors. We are committed to ensuring that the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV receive top-tier expertise and solutions to meet their evolving IT needs. Our team is proud and motivated to contribute to this important mission.”
