MYCOM OSI and Red Hat Partner to Manage and Assure Telco Cloud Services

MYCOM OSI has announced a partnership with open source solutions provider Red Hat to deliver assurance and management for telco cloud environments.

When MYCOM OSI’s cloud-native Experience Assurance and Analytics (EAA) solution — which offers real-time, automated assurance for end-to-end hybrid telco cloud networks — is deployed on Red Hat’s OpenStack Platform and OpenShift Container Platform, its capabilities extend beyond dynamic discovery, monitoring and correlation across the vertical layers of NFV/SDN telco cloud architectures. The integrated solution also enables assurance-driven closed-loop network automation, allowing orchestration systems in virtual networks and configuration management tools in physical networks to apply corrective actions that optimize end-to-end network and service quality.

Darrell Jordan-Smith, Vice President of Global Telecommunications and ICT at Red Hat, commented: “We are pleased to underpin MYCOM OSI’s assurance and analytics solution with Red Hat’s highly scalable hybrid cloud and container-based technologies. Together, we are helping operators better understand and act on network performance as they pursue network virtualization strategies.”

In a related development, Red Hat has signed a definitive agreement to acquire CoreOS, a leader in Kubernetes and container-native solutions, for $250 million. With this acquisition, Red Hat intends to advance its goal of enabling customers to build any application and deploy it in any environment, leveraging the flexibility and scalability of open source. Integrating CoreOS’s complementary technologies with Red Hat’s extensive Kubernetes and container portfolio is expected to accelerate the adoption and evolution of a leading hybrid cloud platform tailored for modern application workloads.

The collaboration between MYCOM OSI and Red Hat, combined with Red Hat’s CoreOS acquisition, underscores the industry’s shift toward integrated, cloud-native approaches for managing complex telecom infrastructures. Service providers adopting these combined technologies can expect improved visibility into multi-layer network behavior, faster incident detection and remediation, and the ability to automate corrective workflows that preserve service quality. These capabilities are particularly important as operators migrate functions to virtualized and containerized environments and seek to maintain consistent performance across hybrid deployments.

By marrying MYCOM OSI’s assurance and analytics strengths with Red Hat’s scalable cloud platforms, operators gain a solution designed to handle the demands of modern telco networks: dynamic scale, cross-layer correlation, real-time analytics and automated remediation. This integration aligns with broader industry trends emphasizing hybrid cloud portability, container orchestration and closed-loop operational models that reduce manual intervention while improving reliability and customer experience.
