Flexible and shapeable: The ice-blue neon rope is made from EL wire that bends easily so you can form letters, outlines or sculptural accents. At 16.4 feet (5 meters) the length is suitable for wrapping, edging or tracing larger pieces.

What’s included and power: The kit ships with the EL wire and a battery controller pack. The controller runs on two AA batteries (not included) and offers three selectable modes: steady on, slow flash and quick flash.

Low consumption, soft glow: EL technology consumes little power compared with many LEDs and produces a gentle, eye-friendly luminescence rather than a harsh beam. It’s designed for accent and decorative use rather than task lighting.

Portable and lightweight: The assembly is compact and light enough to take to events—parades, festivals, cosplay gatherings or mobile displays. The thin rope is easy to stitch, tape or clip onto fabrics and frames.

    Bright and easy to shape

    Extremely bright and very flexible. Simple to work with, battery-powered and offers both steady and blinking modes. Perfect for my parade recliner.

    Ideal for a stroller decoration

    Wrapped it around a stroller for a day at the park. Performed perfectly and I’d recommend it. Slight hum from the battery pack but ambient noise hid it.

    Good brightness but noisy inverter

    Used it to trim a costume hat; it stayed bright and didn’t drain batteries quickly. However, the inverter emits a high-pitched whine. Clipping the pack to my belt made it less noticeable.

    Short lifespan

    Worked fine for about half a day, then wouldn’t turn on the next day. Very disappointing lifespan.

    Stopped working almost immediately

    Mine would only stay lit for about 30 seconds on any setting. Tried fresh batteries and fiddled with connections but it failed repeatedly. I discarded it after several days; possibly a defective unit.

    Lovely color but loud ringing

    Color and brightness are excellent (I bought purple). Unfortunately it gives off a loud ringing noise that I can hear even with the TV on, so I hesitate to leave it on.
