12-inch Aluminum Architect Triangular Scale Ruler — Imperial, Black
Product description
Construction and materials: This 12-inch architect scale is CNC-formed from anodized aluminum alloy for a rigid, lightweight tool that resists corrosion and everyday wear. The black finish provides high contrast with the laser-etched white characters.
Design and markings: The ruler is a three-sided triangular scale with clearly engraved imperial graduations. Laser etching prevents the numbers and tick marks from rubbing off so they remain legible through heavy use.
Included scales and sizing: The tool measures 12 inches end-to-end and carries common architectural scales: 1-1/2", 1", 3/4", 1/2", 3/8", 1/4", 3/16", 1/8", 3/32", and 1/16" on its three faces.
Usage: Slide the triangle along drawings to read and lay out dimensions, use the spine as a reliable straightedge, or carry it in a pouch for fieldwork. It's suitable for architects, engineers, students, drafters, and anyone working with printed plans.
Gifting: The durable construction and professional appearance make it a practical present for colleagues or students entering design fields.

Great as a straight-edge
I bought it mainly to keep my hand off the cutting line. It gives a better grip on the spine than a flat ruler and makes cutting more confident. May not be the fanciest architectural instrument, but it’s an excellent straight-edge.

Stands up to daily use
My husband needed something tougher than plastic for blueprint work. This metal scale has lasted in his pocket and the numbers stay readable. Much more durable than what we bought locally.

Reliable, precise, and well built
This ruler feels solid and the markings are easy to read, which helps when you’re working from plans. Switching between scales is simple and the metal construction doesn’t flex like cheaper plastic versions. It sits stable on paper and does exactly what you need—accurate and dependable for work or school.

Solid overall, minor gripe
Generally good ruler, though I wished the numerals were a bit larger for quicker reading.
