Folding Adirondack Chair Set of 4 — HIPS Outdoor Patio Chairs
Product description
Set contents: Four folding Adirondack chairs, each supplied with the integrated slide-out cup holder, all fasteners, and the small tool packet needed for assembly.
Folding design: This style collapses for compact storage when not in use, freeing up deck or garage space. The chairs fold easily and stand upright when set up.
Hidden cup holder: A pull-out cup slot tucks under the arm when not required and accepts cups up to 3.15 inches in diameter, keeping beverages secure while you relax.
Material: Manufactured from High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) — often called poly lumber — the finish resembles painted wood but offers greater toughness and a smoother surface than typical HDPE.
Dimensions and capacity: Overall footprint is 29.4"W x 32.9"D x 35.8"H. The seat is about 2 inches wider than many competing models, armrests measure 22 inches, and each chair supports up to 380 lbs.
Weather and color retention: The composite HIPS includes color-locking additives to resist fading, cracking, or peeling under sun and seasonal exposure, keeping the chairs looking newer longer.
Assembly: Partial assembly is required. Each chair is made from six main pieces and assembles in four straightforward steps — with basic hand tools you can finish one in roughly 15 minutes.
Durability: HIPS offers significantly greater toughness than standard polystyrene, helping these chairs withstand wind, sun and regular outdoor use without becoming brittle.
Design and comfort: Slatted back and seat allow rain to drain and accelerate drying. The curved back, expansive seat, and broad armrests combine for a relaxed, ergonomic sitting experience.
Construction: Panels are fastened with multiple screws and bolts to hold components firmly together. Once tightened, the connections keep the chairs from wobbling and maintain stability over time.

Excellent chairs but time-intensive to build
The finished chairs are attractive, sturdy and feel weatherproof. Folding for storage is great. Expect to invest significant time assembling; other options arrive mostly assembled, these do not. If you’re short on time, plan accordingly.

Color faded and poor service experience
I ordered apricot to match my holiday home and the color faded very fast, unevenly across pieces. Long back-and-forth with customer support led to a partial refund after escalation. I bought them for a color that didn’t hold up and won’t reorder in that hue.

Solid feel, good value for the material
Not solid wood but a hefty plastic composite that feels well-made. My husband assembled them without issues; expect a fair amount of work. They sit fairly low but are comfortable. We’ll add covers to simplify seasonal care.

Sturdy, comfortable poolside seating
Very solid and comfortable; the weight keeps them from blowing around. Assembly becomes quicker with practice. A lumbar pillow helps for long sits. Love the hidden cup holder. Recommend a helper to hold pieces while you tighten screws.

Well thought-out engineering, solid build
I put together three of these chairs. They are precisely cut and fit well, sturdy and attractive. Folding is a nice feature. Assembly wasn’t lightning-fast but manageable solo. My only gripe: many small bolts and nuts — include a couple extras and a usable wrench.

Attractive and comfortable outdoor chairs
They look nice and go together fairly easily. All parts and tools come packaged together. I used power tools to speed the process, though hand tools work. Very comfy and well made. My only annoyance is the white shows dirt quickly.

Better than expected compared with wood
I wanted wood but chose poly for longevity and these delivered. Boxes are heavy; use a table for assembly and keep parts in a bowl. Tools are provided but a drill and ratchet make the job much easier. Fit and finish are as intended.

Instructions and predrilled holes didn’t match
The finished chair is fine, but the guide didn’t align with the hole pattern which caused confusion during assembly.
