DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Drill/Driver Kit with Batteries & Charger
Product description
Designed to get into cramped areas, this compact cordless drill/driver pairs a lightweight housing with a comfortable, ergonomic handle for improved control during repetitive tasks.
The high-performance motor produces up to 300 unit watts out (UWO), giving the tool enough force to handle a broad range of fastening and drilling chores. A two-speed transmission provides selectable ranges of 0–450 rpm and 0–1,500 rpm, letting you choose slower speeds for driving screws and higher speeds for drilling holes.
A 1/2" single-sleeve ratcheting chuck secures bits firmly to reduce slippage. The kit ships complete with two 20V MAX batteries, a charger and a rugged soft storage bag for transport and storage. Its compact footprint and lighter batteries make it easier to use for extended periods or overhead work.

Long-lasting performance
Battery life and torque have been excellent on mine and the one I bought for a friend. I’ve drilled and driven countless fasteners with no issues; if it ever wears out, I’d say it paid for itself many times over.

Ideal for household projects
Great choice for routine home tasks. While pros might prefer beefier, higher-spec models, this drill offers adequate power for most DIY jobs and is easy to handle. The extra battery is convenient; heavy users may want larger-capacity packs, but these are lighter for general work.

Verified genuine batteries; great for weekend DIY
Bought two of these and confirmed the batteries are authentic. Each recharged in about 40 minutes and they work well for bathroom projects, hole saws and drywall screws. I tried 6Ah packs on these drills and other older units and noticed a burnt smell, so avoid pairing unsupported high-capacity cells. Overall a solid kit for casual users.

Perfect for fence work — strong and convenient
Bought this set for fence repairs and it performed flawlessly. Having a second battery on hand kept the job moving without downtime, and the motor never seemed to lose torque while driving screws into thick planks. The built-in work light helps when daylight fades, and the pistol grip is comfortable for extended use.

Limited features compared to newer models
Design feels dated next to newer cordless options. It does not have a hammer function for drilling masonry and still uses brushes rather than a brushless motor, so it’s less efficient under heavy loads.

Compact, powerful and dependable
Really pleased with how small and capable this drill is. The LED is handy for shaded spots and the smaller 20V packs make the tool noticeably lighter than older 12V units. Warranty support has been straightforward when needed. The carry bag has room for bits and a few extras, so it’s useful for home projects.

Surprisingly good for ice auger use
Used with an auger adapter to drill ice up to 16 inches thick and it cut through like butter. The second battery handled several holes in very cold temps before sagging; a bigger battery helps if you drill a lot. Tip: brace the tool against your hip if the bit binds to protect your wrist from torque.

Sturdy build; missing case on arrival
Plastics feel rigid and premium, and the slim battery doesn’t get in the way during handling. I haven’t stress-tested run-times yet but it seems solid for detailing and light professional use. Note: the pictured hard case was not included with my shipment.
