Unified Communications 2024: Future Trends in Workplace Collaboration

As organisations adjust to a growing hybrid workforce, the demand for seamless connectivity and effective collaboration is more urgent than ever.

A two-day Unified Communications event will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center on 5–6 June 2024. The conference brings together industry leaders and technology experts to explore innovations shaping the future of workplace communication.

Day 1

The event opens with a panel on “The Future of Workplace Collaboration.” With more employees dividing their time between the office and home, panellists will share practical strategies organisations can adopt to foster collaboration across distributed teams. Topics include AI-driven meeting productivity tools and immersive virtual meeting environments designed to unify dispersed workforces.

Other key sessions on day one include a discussion on applying DevOps practices to scale and protect VoIP systems and an analysis of how 5G will transform UCaaS. Software experts will present approaches to enhance customer experiences using emerging technologies and provide guidance on evaluating and selecting UCaaS providers and vendors.

Day 2

On the second day, the focus shifts to security, identity and access management, and meeting rising customer expectations.

Featured sessions include “Taking an Omnichannel Approach to CX Technology” and “Security Trends for Unified Communications.” Presenters will offer strategies to mitigate deepfake threats and discuss how CPaaS (Communications Platform-as-a-Service) can improve customer outcomes.

A highlight of day two is a panel on “BYOM: The Future of the Virtual Meeting Room.” As hybrid work endures, organisations must create productivity-focused meeting environments that allow employees to join video conferences easily from any device.

Attendees will also learn practical approaches for achieving E911 compliance across expanding work environments and hear how IoT innovations can enhance unified communications data exchange.

Comprehensive telecoms programme

From digital workplace transformation and security to customer experience improvements, this two-day summit provides the insights IT and communications leaders need to guide their organisations into the next phase of unified work.

“The extraordinary success of Unified Communications Conference North America reflects the shared commitment of our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees,” says Steve Downing, Head of Delegates & Group Operations Manager at TechEx. “Through collaboration like this, we continue to advance innovation in unified communications technology.”

The Unified Communications conference runs alongside other leading events to create a comprehensive telecoms programme, including Digital Transformation Week, IoT Tech Expo, Edge Computing Expo, Intelligent Automation, AI & Big Data Expo, and Cyber Security & Cloud Expo.

Unified Communications is a two-day event held in California, London, and Amsterdam that examines the future of workplace collaboration in a digital world. The conference is co-located with several related events to provide attendees with broad perspectives on enterprise technology trends and solutions.
