We enjoy the intellectual challenges this industry offers, but it’s time to make invisible work visible and ensure true equality.
A report based on the voices of members of Women in Tech Sweden
What experiences, challenges, motivations, and ambitions do women in Sweden’s technology industry have? What inspires them, what do they value most when considering a new employer, and which factors do they see as most important to make the tech sector more attractive to women? What concrete steps can organizations take to improve the State of Women in Tech in Sweden?
The State of Women in Tech 2024 is an annual report that answers these questions and more. We surveyed 1,600 members of Women in Tech Sweden and compiled their responses in this report together with our partner Exsitec.
Women in Tech Sweden is a non-profit community with over 20,000 members and 40 partners. But we are more than a network—we are a family. Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared passion for technology and a commitment to making the tech industry more inclusive and welcoming to everyone. Whether you are here to learn, to connect, or to make an impact, we are glad to have you with us.
The report covers topics such as job satisfaction, diversity and inclusion, gender equality, career development, work–life balance, and the technology of the future. It also provides recommendations for organizations that want to take action to improve the position of women in tech, grounded in respondents’ insights and suggestions.
The report is now published and available for download. If you would like to learn more about the survey or arrange a presentation, please contact Åsa Johansen.
“Contributing our data analysis expertise to this report is important for Sweden as a technology leader, and it is a project we are particularly proud to support.
