Advania Cuts Emissions Dramatically and Scales Up with Trusted AI

Advania Sweden continues to strengthen its sustainability efforts and reports positive progress toward its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals for 2030. In this year’s sustainability report, Advania highlights an increase in circulated devices, expanded investments in sustainability expertise, and greater focus on Trusted AI.

Advania Sweden is taking clear steps forward in sustainability. In the latest sustainability report the company reports reduced greenhouse gas emissions, increased investments in sustainability competence, and a reinforced focus on responsible AI use. Over the past year Advania has continued its path toward its SBTi commitments. The results show alignment with the 2030 targets, including a 49 percent reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions compared with the baseline year 2023, along with measurable improvement in scope 3 emissions.

Will train 100 sustainability ambassadors

At the same time, Advania is intensifying efforts to support companies and organizations in their sustainability transitions through skills development. In 2025, 14 sustainability ambassadors completed the company’s in‑depth internal sustainability program. The ambition is to train a total of 100 sustainability ambassadors by 2030 to further strengthen the organization’s capacity to support customers in their sustainability work.

During the year Advania also put Trusted AI high on the agenda. Trusted AI is Advania’s framework for developing and using AI responsibly, combining innovation with security, transparency, regulatory compliance, and control over data and infrastructure. The company has begun integrating principles of environmental, ethical and social responsibility into both the use and development of AI solutions. This work covers governance, risk assessment, transparency and sustainable AI infrastructure.

– This year’s report demonstrates that our sustainability initiatives are delivering results and that we are on track to meet our SBTi targets by 2030. Our progress in circular IT is an important contributor to our emission reductions. At the same time, we see growing demand from customers to pair digital development with responsible practices. That is why we invest in both sustainability competence and Trusted AI, to ensure AI is used and developed in a way that is safe, transparent and sustainable over the long term, says Helena Nordin, Head of Sustainability at Advania Sweden.

She continues:

– Going forward, we will continue to strengthen governance, transparency and implementation so that sustainability remains an integral part of how Advania develops and how our customers can evolve their operations using IT.

Launch of “Drömhuset” and security initiatives

The sustainability report also highlights several circular IT initiatives. During the year the company opened Drömhuset in Enköping, a new logistics hub for reuse, refurbishment and redeployment of IT equipment designed to reduce emissions and promote more circular hardware management.

The report states that investments were made to develop services in cybersecurity, AI‑based analytics and secure cloud solutions to help customers meet rising security and regulatory requirements. Within the supply chain, Advania has strengthened sustainability audits and risk‑based supplier follow‑up. The focus has been on improving working conditions and reducing environmental impact across the value chain.
