Danske Bank Appoints Nicklas Ilebrand as Head of Personal Banking Sweden

Danske Bank has appointed Nicklas Ilebrand as the new Head of Personal Customers for the bank’s Swedish operations. Nicklas Ilebrand most recently worked at McKinsey as a Senior Advisor. He brings extensive board experience, including roles at Skandiabanken and Nordea Hypotek. He has also served as Chief Strategy Officer at Finnair, where he was a member of the group executive team.

Nicklas Ilebrand has broad experience and deep insight into the Nordic banking market, which gives him a strong understanding of market dynamics and how to navigate the complex financial sector effectively. In addition, Nicklas’ background at McKinsey is particularly valuable as the bank is undergoing an intensive transformation to grow its retail banking business in a challenging market.

“With Nicklas’ solid experience and extensive expertise in banking and finance, we will continue to develop and strengthen our retail operations in Sweden. Our aim is to further improve the customer experience and create clear value for our customers. I am convinced that with Nicklas’ deep understanding of the Nordic market we will strengthen our position on the Swedish retail market,” says Christian Bornfeld, Global Head of Personal Customer at Danske Bank.

Danske Bank Sweden provides a wide range of services to retail customers, including lending and saving solutions, as well as advisory services to help clients manage their financial needs and goals. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the bank aims to deliver tailored solutions that meet the expectations of today’s customers.

Nicklas Ilebrand will assume his new role on April 1 and succeeds Anneli Adler, who has decided to leave the bank.
