Freedom24 Launches in Sweden: New International Investment Platform

The global investment platform Freedom24 has officially launched in Sweden, giving Swedish investors access to more than one million financial instruments across 15 of the world’s largest exchanges. This expansion opens new investment opportunities and makes it easier to diversify portfolios on a global scale.

A new player in the Swedish investment market

Freedom24, operated by the publicly listed company Freedom Holding Corp., has grown since its founding in 2019 into a notable participant on the European investment scene. The company is now making a strategic push into Sweden, where investors can trade on major exchanges such as NASDAQ, NYSE, HKEX and Euronext. The platform provides access to stocks, ETFs, bonds and derivatives.

“We are pleased to launch our innovative trading platform in Sweden. Swedes are highly engaged in investing and have a strong savings and pension culture,” says Olga Milko, Head of Business Development at Freedom24.

The platform already serves more than 300,000 investors across 30 European countries and is regulated by Cyprus’s financial supervisory authority, CySEC.

Innovative investment options and global diversification

Freedom24 offers both traditional investment options and innovative savings products. Key features include:

  • Daily Savings Account (D-Account): A savings account with daily accrued interest and a variable rate.
  • Fixed investment plans: Options with 3-, 6- or 12-month terms that provide predictable returns.

For investors seeking unique opportunities, the platform also offers access to less common markets such as the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX). These markets create chances to diversify beyond the traditional Western exchanges.

Security and regulatory compliance as priorities

Freedom24 emphasizes security and reliability as core pillars of its operations. The platform complies with MiFID II rules, ensuring robust investor protections, and also meets relevant requirements from the U.S. SEC. Client assets are held in segregated accounts and are covered by compensation up to 20,000 euros through the Investors Compensation Fund (ICF).

The company’s high standards for transparency and compliance are reinforced by regular audits from Deloitte and a B/B credit rating with positive outlook from S&P Global Ratings.

“We have invested heavily in building a secure platform that meets the highest standards in the EU and the US. Our goal is to create long-term value for our users,” concludes Olga Milko.
