Sigma Industry East North Group has once again been awarded the distinction Sweden’s Best Managed Companies, a quality mark presented by Deloitte. This is the third consecutive year the group has received the recognition, which is given to private Swedish companies that demonstrate exceptional performance in strategy, culture, governance and financial management.
The Best Managed Companies program was founded by Deloitte in Canada in 1993 and introduced to Sweden in 2018. To qualify, companies undergo a thorough evaluation that examines both organizational structure and corporate culture. The assessment emphasizes long-term profitability, sustainable growth, strategic leadership and employee engagement. The process is led by experienced advisors from Deloitte, and every application is reviewed by an independent jury.

“Receiving this award for the third consecutive year shows that our way of working delivers sustained results,” says Tobias Wilhelmson, Deputy Group CEO at Sigma Industry East North. “We build on a solid foundation with clear strategies and direction. That allows us to avoid reinventing the wheel each time and instead focus on further developing our business areas, creating better conditions for our employees and strengthening our appeal as an employer.”
The Sweden’s Best Managed Companies award is presented annually to highlight companies that not only deliver strong results but also build resilient organizations where people and business grow together.
“We are proud to present the award to these 17 companies, each demonstrating strong leadership, a clear strategic agenda and effective processes. Unlisted private companies account for a large share of our workforce, our revenues and a vibrant business sector, and they are a crucial pillar of the Swedish economy. It is therefore especially rewarding to honor these entrepreneurs as the country’s best managed companies,” says Lina Thörn, partner at Deloitte and head of Best Managed Companies in Sweden.
Sigma Industry East North is an entrepreneur-driven engineering consultancy group made up of eight subsidiaries operating from Linköping in the south to Luleå in the north. A warm and inclusive culture combined with strong business focus and delivery capability enhances the group’s attractiveness as both an employer and a partner. The group currently has nearly 500 employees and reported revenue of 795 MSEK in 2024, representing growth of approximately 20% compared with the previous year.
“It is precisely the combination of strong delivery, entrepreneurial spirit and a clearly defined culture that enables us to maintain high standards year after year,” says Erik Freese, Group CEO. “Confirmation that our model stands the test of time strengthens our commitment to continue building with quality and care at every level.”
