90PCS Self-Drilling Drywall Anchors & Screws Kit — Metal Sheetrock Anchors
Product description
This kit contains 90 pieces in total: 45 self-drilling steel expansion anchors sized 12 x 40 mm (0.47 x 1.57 inch) and 45 matching zinc screws sized 4 x 45 mm. The anchors are designed for use in 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" gypsum wallboard and are intended for items such as picture frames, wall lamps, curtains, clocks, hanging plants, small TVs and lightweight cabinets.
The anchors are manufactured from upgraded 2025 zinc-plated steel with a yellow zinc finish to help resist oxidation, surface wear and aging. The accompanying heavy-duty screws are also corrosion-resistant to improve longevity. Each anchor features a ribbed, deep-thread profile so it bites into the drywall and expands firmly as the screw is driven in, providing strong pull-out resistance and reliable fixation.
Installation requires no pilot hole: tap the expansion nail into the drywall, position the object you’re mounting, then drive the screw. As the screw tightens the anchor spreads behind the board, locking the fastener in place and minimizing wall damage. If you remove the screw and the object, the anchor can remain in the wall for reuse at a later time, avoiding unnecessary new holes.
All components come sorted in a clear plastic storage case for convenient access and transport. The set’s combination of self-drilling anchors and zinc screws is intended to speed up common mounting tasks while offering corrosion resistance and dependable holding power up to 66 pounds per anchor in suitable drywall.
Pros
- No pre-drilling — installs quickly and cleanly
- Zinc-plated steel construction resists rust and wear
- Includes organized box with 45 anchors and 45 screws
Cons
- Some anchors can bend if hammered at an angle
- Rated capacity limited to about 66 lbs per anchor
- Single anchor size (12x40 mm) may not suit all jobs
VerdictThis metal anchor kit delivers a straightforward way to hang moderate-weight items on drywall without finding studs or pre-drilling. The zinc-plated steel anchors expand as you tighten the screw, creating a solid hold in 3/8" to 5/8" gypsum. Ideal for pictures, lamps, curtain rods and small shelves; durable finish resists corrosion and the compact box keeps parts sorted for repeat jobs.

Definitely worth it

Many bent — proceed with caution
They go into drywall easily but I bent a large share of them while tapping. Metal can be thin, so you may waste some if not hammered carefully. Recommend gentle, straight taps.

Smart idea that performs well
They work great if you tap them in straight. Screws drive smoothly and they’re a better option than plastic inserts. Expect less wall damage when you remove them.
