2-Pack Reusable Pet Hair Laundry Discs — Washer & Dryer Hair Removers
Product description
What you get: Two reusable pet-hair removal discs designed for use in laundry machines. Each disc is a flexible, tacky, rubber-like pad (about 3–4 inches / 7–10 cm across) that rides with clothing and attracts loose fur as garments tumble.
Materials and form: The discs are made from a pliable, sticky thermoplastic-elastomer (rubber-like) material that clings to stray hair and lint when dry. Their low-profile, rounded shape lets them move freely through washer and dryer drums alongside fabric.
How to use: Drop the discs into the washer with the load, then transfer the same discs into the dryer to finish the cycle. For light or small loads use one disc; for larger loads, bedding, heavy shedders, or multiple pets use two or more. Do not pack the drum — both laundry and the discs must be able to tumble.
Care and maintenance: Avoid fabric softener and dryer sheets — these can coat the surface and reduce tack. To clean, rub gently with dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and let the discs air-dry on a nonporous rack so the surface regains its grip. The discs do not permanently lock hair away; loosened fur typically ends up in the dryer lint trap.
Limitations and expectations: Results depend on the type and amount of hair, the fabrics being washed, load size, and machine style. Stubborn, embedded, or heavily matted hair may require pre-cleaning or multiple cycles. While useful for reducing loose fur on many items, they are not a guarantee to remove every stray hair in a single wash.
Pros
- Reusable and simple to use in both washer and dryer
- Reduces loose pet hair for many fabrics when used correctly
- Easy to clean with dish soap and quick to restore tack
Cons
- Ineffective on deeply embedded or matted fur
- Performance depends on load size and machine type
- Surface can lose tack if coated by softeners or dryer sheets
VerdictA simple, reusable laundry aid that can cut down loose pet hair on washable fabrics when used correctly. Best results come from using enough discs for the load, avoiding overfilling, and keeping softeners and dryer sheets out of the wash. Performance varies by hair type, fabric, appliance, and how many discs you use. They’re inexpensive and low-effort, but they won’t remove deeply embedded fur in

Not what I hoped for
I wanted these to work but they didn’t. They’re not made of the same sticky material as my reusable lint roller. After weeks of use only a few strings ever stuck to them. I wouldn’t buy again.

Didn’t pull any hair
I washed dog blankets and expected hair on the disc but saw none. The lint filter had fur but the disc came out clean. I’m unsure if they ever trap anything — no visible difference to me.

Fait le job
Produit conseillé lors de recherches pour enlever les peluches après lavage raté. Résultat agréable, surpris positivement.

Fantastic for my heavy-shedding dog
These are great for me. My dog sheds a lot and her hair clings to everything. With an oversized top-load washer and roomy dryer I use four discs at once and avoid overfilling. They help pull hair off many items and also assist with rugs and her bedding.

Flawed in wet cycles — slick when soaked
They didn’t pick up hair in the washer because the discs become slick when wet; the tackiness returns when dry, so they’re more useful in the dryer. I now use them only in drying, though they can get tucked into sleeves and sheets which is a bit annoying. Wool dryer balls save time and help dry faster.

Used often but no luck
I’ve tried these many times with a dog that sheds everywhere, but they haven’t made a difference for me.

Very effective if used right — tips included
Works well for my long-haired cat when used properly. I use four discs total for each wash/dry and place them on top of the load so they act through the cycle. Rinse off hair after each wash and dry; that keeps them working. With that method they make a noticeable difference.

Broke on first cycle
After one use a disc dried out, cracked, and left rubber bits in my machine. It didn’t pick up dog hair and fell apart.

Complete waste for me
Followed directions exactly, used two in the wash, no fabric softener, and still saw no change in hair on clothing. I have two cats and occasionally a shed-heavy dog; nothing collected on the discs in washer or dryer. Tried heavier loads and still no effect. They just sat in the drum without pulling hair off my clothes.

Most effective fix I've tried
I've been using these for six months with six indoor/outdoor cats and they've cut visible hair on my clothes by roughly 70–75%. I own three sets and find regular use improves results — I keep one disc in the washer and the other in the dryer, swapping them between loads so the dryer-warmed disc regains tack in the wash. No color transfer to clothing and they tolerate regular machine use. Not perfect, but the best option I've found so far.

Side-by-side product comparison
I tried several tools to tame a terrier’s white, wiry hair. A rubber brush worked best on leather furniture but was labor-intensive. The laundry discs helped on some garments but weren't a miracle — they reduced loose hair on certain fabrics but didn’t remove deeply embedded strands. Good as part of a toolkit, but expect to combine with other methods for heavy jobs.
