Snowflake and Anthropic’s partnership marks a major investment in agent-based AI, with $200 million committed to bringing advanced AI directly to enterprise business data worldwide.
Snowflake and Anthropic today announced a significant expansion of their strategic alliance. The multi-year agreement, valued at $200 million, aims to deliver enterprise-grade, agent-based AI to more than 12,600 global customers through Snowflake Cortex AI.
Under the expanded partnership, Anthropic’s Claude models will be deeply integrated into the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. By combining Claude’s advanced reasoning capabilities with Snowflake’s secure, governed data platform, organizations can execute complex, multi-step analyses directly on sensitive business data.
Claude will also serve as the primary model for Snowflake Intelligence, enabling a new way of working in which the organization’s entire knowledge base is accessible through reliable AI agents. This integration fundamentally changes how companies handle data analysis, decision support and large-scale automation.
The expanded agreement builds on an existing collaboration in which thousands of Snowflake customers already process billions of Claude tokens each month via Snowflake Cortex AI. The new deal also includes a joint global go-to-market initiative focused on deploying AI agents across some of the world’s largest enterprises.
Snowflake already leverages Claude internally across product development and sales. For example, Claude Code is used to boost developer productivity, and a Claude-driven GTM AI assistant helps accelerate sales cycles and customer engagement.
By combining secure enterprise data with advanced AI, the Snowflake–Anthropic partnership enables large-scale analytics, automation and decision support while preserving governance and compliance requirements.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake, emphasizes that the company’s most strategic partnerships are measured not only by scale but by the joint innovation and customer value they generate. He notes that Anthropic is part of a select group of partners with nine-figure agreements, joint product development, and proven global customer impact.
Dario Amodei, CEO and co‑founder of Anthropic, highlights that enterprises have invested years in building secure, reliable data environments and now demand AI that operates within those environments without compromising safety or governance. Making Claude available where enterprise data already resides is an important step in making advanced AI practical and trustworthy for real-world use.
Alongside Snowflake’s third-quarter financial results, the company announced several other business updates. Snowflake has more than doubled its growth on AWS Marketplace year over year and surpassed $2 billion in sales, becoming only the second independent software vendor to reach that level in a calendar year.
Snowflake and Accenture also announced the formation of the Accenture Snowflake Business Group. The initiative aims to accelerate enterprise transformation in data and AI through jointly developed AI-driven solutions, enhanced training and certifications, and a global center of excellence.
