Povidone-Iodine 10% Prep Pads, Individually Sealed — 200 Count (2×100)
Product description
What’s included: Two boxes containing 100 individually wrapped povidone-iodine prep pads each, for a total of 200 single-use pads.
Composition and saturation: Each disposable cloth pad is fully saturated with a 10% povidone-iodine solution. The pads are designed to deliver antiseptic coverage across a small treatment area and are intended to be used once and discarded.
Packaging and use: The wipes come in single, easy-to-carry foil packets that protect the pad until needed. They are non-sterile and marked for topical application only. Use a fresh pad for each site to cleanse the skin prior to bandaging or minor procedures.
Intended applications: Commonly used in first-aid kits, clinic settings, and at home for cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. They are also suitable for prepping the skin before minor invasive steps such as venipuncture, dialysis access, or starting an intravenous line.
Practical notes: The cloth pads are thin but saturated to provide antiseptic contact. Keep them stored in a dry place or in a medical kit for quick access. Because they contain iodine, they can stain fabric and should be used with care around clothing.

Difficult to open packets
These used to tear easily but now resist opening; I often need scissors to cut a slit. Looks like the tear notch might have been removed.

Not sufficiently saturated
Bought these frequently before; these batches had minimal iodine coverage and were disappointing. Replaced after two boxes.

Handy antiseptic wipes
Povidone-iodine (often sold as Betadine) is a broad-spectrum antiseptic with low resistance risk. These wipes keep the solution contained and reduce mess and staining. They’re a little tougher to tear than alcohol swabs—use the packet notch—and the pad is thin but functional. Keep away from curious children.
