Openreach has adopted Adtran’s FSP 3000 open optical transport technology to launch a new service, Optical Spectrum Access 100G Single, designed for enterprise customers.
The offering provides a dedicated fibre connection enabling more UK businesses to access point-to-point 100 Gbit/s data transport. This service addresses rising demand for high-bandwidth connectivity driven by cloud applications, data centre backhaul and other data‑intensive workloads.

The service offers two main deployment options to suit different business needs: a single point-to-point Ethernet link at 100 Gbit/s, or ten independent channels at 10 Gbit/s each. This flexibility makes the service appropriate for companies with varying bandwidth profiles or a need to segment traffic across separate channels.
By deploying Adtran’s FSP 3000 platform, Openreach delivers a dedicated optical path that ensures low latency, consistent performance and high reliability. The platform’s scalable architecture helps operators meet surging capacity needs while simplifying operations and reducing the footprint of deployed equipment.
