M-Files, a leader in knowledge work automation, today announces that Matt Marriott has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this role, Marriott will apply his extensive industry experience to lead M-Files’ global sales and go-to-market strategy, drive business growth, accelerate expansion into key verticals, and strengthen the company’s position as a preferred document management and knowledge-work automation solution for organizations worldwide.
Extensive software industry experience
With more than 25 years of sales leadership experience in the software industry, Marriott brings deep expertise to M-Files. He began his career at IBM as a salesperson and has spent much of the past two decades in senior roles overseeing sales teams, solutions and brands at both national and global levels.
Leadership roles at global companies
After IBM, Marriott served as global CRO for Acoustic, a spin-off from IBM, and for CyberRes (part of Micro Focus). Most recently he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and GTM at Quest Software, where he successfully drove revenue growth and expanded market presence.
A strong addition to M-Files’ GTM team
“We are building an exceptional go-to-market team at M-Files, and Matt’s appointment is an important part of that vision,” says Jay Bhatt, CEO of M-Files. “His deep expertise in enterprise sales, combined with a proven track record of scaling global revenue organizations, makes him the ideal leader to help guide M-Files into its next growth phase. We look forward to his contributions as we continue to transform how companies manage and leverage information.”
M-Files is reshaping information management with AI and metadata
M-Files’ platform for automating knowledge work is changing how organizations manage, access and share information across systems, repositories and applications. The metadata-driven platform eliminates friction in information management, enabling knowledge workers to seamlessly store, search and share “silent knowledge” within the flow of their daily work.
Marriott looks forward to contributing to the next growth phase
“I am excited to join M-Files at such a pivotal moment for the company and the industry,” Marriott says. “M-Files is uniquely positioned to transform how organizations handle and collaborate around information. With vast opportunities to build and automate workflows, every organization can tailor and optimize its processes with M-Files. The company is well positioned for long-term success in a rapidly growing market, and I look forward to driving growth forward.”
