Large Genuine Merino Sheepskin Rug — 3in Pile Single Pelt (2'6" x 3'7")
Product description
Extra-large single pelt: approximately 2ft 6in x 3ft 7in. This rug is cut from a single hide, with no stitching or seams, and is 40–50% larger than many standard sheepskins.
Premium Merino origin: sourced from Merino lambs raised in Australia. The pelt is 100% natural lambskin featuring long, dense wool — pile length exceeds 3 inches for a plush, luxurious feel.
Thoughtful tanning: processed with a specialized method that preserves a full, resilient fleece while avoiding harsh chemicals. The result is formaldehyde-free and suitable for pregnant people and children. The underside is lightly finished to retain the hide’s original texture and to provide some anti-slip grip.
Accessories included: each rug ships with a dedicated sheepskin brush to maintain loft and a sturdy canvas bag for storage or transport. The bag is breathable and convenient for keeping the rug protected.
Versatile uses: works equally well in modern, traditional, or rustic interiors — as an accent rug in a bedroom or living room, a draped throw over chairs or benches, a soft play or nap surface, an outdoor sleeping pad for travelers, or as a motorcycle seat cover. Pet owners often add an extra for their animals, since many pets take to the soft wool immediately.
Pros
- Thick, long 3in Merino wool
- Single-pelt, seam-free construction
- Eco-friendly, formaldehyde-free tanning
Cons
- May have a natural sheep odor at first
- Not suitable for machine washing

VerdictA roomy, authentic Merino sheepskin that delivers thick, long wool and solid craftsmanship. The eco-friendly tanning and natural backing make it safe for families, while the included brush and storage bag add value. Excellent for adding warmth and texture around the home — expect a slight natural scent at first that fades.

Worth every cent
Super soft and comfortable without feeling too warm. Plush, tall pile that looks and feels great.

Too coarse for me
Very disappointing — the texture felt dry and coarse rather than soft. Brushing didn’t help; not what I expected from a genuine sheepskin.

High-end feel, no regrets
Placed it at the foot of my bed and it transformed the space. Much better than faux versions — dense, luxurious, and worth the investment.

Lovely, minor scent at first
Excellent quality and very soft. It had a bit of a gamey smell initially, but it faded over time. Love the brush provided.

Instant upgrade for rentals
I was nervous ordering online but these exceeded expectations. Bigger and fuller than others I’ve seen, with natural colors and useful extras like a linen bag and brush.

Plush and cozy
Thick, long wool that makes an old chair look and feel fantastic. A slight sheepy scent occasionally, but a quick shake restores it.

Great value and durable
Second purchase from this maker — the first still looks new after months. Thick underfoot and easy to care for with a shake or vacuum. Highly recommended.
