DELARLO Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 5-Quart Heavy-Duty Stock Pot with Lid
Product description
The DELARLO tri-ply 5-quart stock pot is assembled from three distinct layers: an inner food-grade stainless steel cooking surface, an aluminum core for thermal conductivity, and an 18/0 stainless steel exterior. The pot walls measure approximately 2.3 mm, giving the body a robust, heavy-duty feel while helping it tolerate high temperatures—the pot body is rated up to 600°F and the tempered glass lid up to 300°F.
The polished food-grade interior will not react with ingredients, preserving flavors and preventing metallic taste transfer. Its 5 qt capacity is well suited to making soups, chili, stews, pasta, sauces and other family-sized dishes. The broad volume and stable heat distribution make it useful for entertaining or regular family meals.
Heat moves evenly from the fortified base out to the edges thanks to the aluminum core that carries warmth quickly and uniformly. The exterior layer is magnetic, making the pot compatible with induction cooktops as well as gas, electric, halogen, ceramic-glass tops and even open-fire cooking. Its design supports both domestic and light commercial use.
Ergonomic details follow professional standards: a tempered glass lid rimmed in stainless steel with a vent to release steam, and wide, deep handles secured with stainless rivets for a confident grip. The tall sides and rounded rim help reduce boilovers and contain splatter during vigorous cooking.
Durability and performance are emphasized: the tri-ply construction quickly responds to heat adjustments and maintains performance after extended simmering. When covered, the pot holds warmth well after being removed from heat, making it handy for finishing and serving.
This stock pot is suitable for classic techniques such as simmering, boiling crustaceans, stewing, blanching, and braising. It also doubles as a vessel for short-term food cooling and is simple to clean—its smooth surfaces are dishwasher safe for convenience.
Pros

VerdictSolidly constructed and versatile, this 5-qt tri-ply stock pot offers fast, even heating and a durable body that stands up to regular kitchen use. The glass lid with steam vent and roomy riveted handles make it practical for soups, stews, and batch cooking. Performance and value are strong for home cooks who need a reliable mid-size pot.

Authentic and top-notch
This is a high-quality piece in the right size for family cooking. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Solid build but different shape than pictured
Well-made and hefty. I returned it only because the pot is shorter and wider than the tall profile shown in the listing — it resembles a shallow stockpot more than a pasta pot.

One of my best-used pots
After a month of daily use I’m very pleased. It heats quickly, browns well, and is simple to clean; even slightly burned rice came off after simmering with water and a little detergent. Heavy and well-made, it still looks nearly new after frequent use.

Dependable workhorse
I like this pot — well made with solid stainless steel, a good lid and secure handle attachments. Works great on both induction and gas. I use it for gatherings and recommend it.

Straightforward, effective pot
A plain but capable pan — even heating, easy to clean, and a snug lid. The handles are roomy. Update: after a few uses the bottom developed a slight bow and now wobbles on the burner, so I dropped one star.

Attractive, reliable cookware
I’ve collected several DELARLO pieces over time and this line has impressed me. I purchased pans piece by piece to match my needs and ended up keeping most of them. They heat quickly, clean up easily and I haven’t seen sticking. Note that lids and handles vary between models, so check photos if that matters. My set includes small saucepans and larger pots that all perform consistently.

Excellent construction on larger size
I just received the 20-quart version and haven’t cooked in it yet, but the build feels superb. Full three-ply construction extends up the sides and the wide base fits my range perfectly. Looking forward to making large batches of stock and soups.

Worth the money
Attractive and sturdy. My daughter needed a dependable soup pot and this has been ideal. The glass lid is nice and the size fits a family well; I’d buy another for myself.

Poor surface durability
I was disappointed. After the first boil I noticed white marks and small indentations that feel like pitting. These aren’t removable stains but damage to the surface, which is unacceptable on a new stainless pot. Raises concerns about long-term durability.

Interior finish looks dark
The inside has a darker hue and the texture isn’t as smooth as I expected. Everything else about the pot is fine.

Promising initial performance
Just bought it — looks good, feels substantial, and seems built for long-term use so far.

Great alternative to pricier brands
This pot echoes the look and function of high-end hybrid cookware but at a fraction of the cost. It performs well, cleans easily, and tolerates metal utensils without obvious scratches. The lid and handle styling aren’t quite as refined as the premium name brand, but for the price it’s an excellent value.
