China Telecom and Bridge Alliance have signed an agreement to provide machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) services, aiming to harness the growing momentum of IoT adoption across the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the partnership, China Telecom will extend its IoT/M2M offerings to multinational enterprise customers across Bridge Alliance’s footprint in 34 markets. This collaboration is designed to simplify global IoT deployments for enterprises that need reliable, cross-border connectivity and service support.
Deng Xiao Feng, Managing Director of China Telecom’s Global Business Department, said: “We are pleased to join Bridge Alliance as a business partner. China Telecom serves a robust portfolio of multinational enterprise clients that are expanding their products and services across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Bridge Alliance is an ideal partner to meet these requirements. At the same time, China Telecom is ready to support inbound opportunities from Bridge Alliance members into China.
“With a common supporting platform and the market opportunities across these regions, we believe this partnership will create a mutually beneficial, win-win collaboration.”
Eileen Tan, CEO of Bridge Alliance, added: “We are excited about this partnership with China Telecom. Given the rapid growth of the China market, adding China Telecom to Bridge Alliance’s partner network strengthens our ability to serve global enterprise customers. We look forward to achieving collective successes and co-innovating with China Telecom.”
In a related development, Versa Networks was selected by China Telecom as a primary vendor for software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and software-defined security (SD-Security) solutions to meet the evolving needs of the telecom’s global customer base.
This strategic alliance positions both organizations to better support multinational enterprises deploying IoT and M2M solutions across multiple regions. By combining China Telecom’s extensive customer relationships and regional market knowledge with Bridge Alliance’s broad regional reach and common platform capabilities, the partnership aims to reduce complexity for enterprises managing large-scale IoT rollouts.
Key benefits for enterprises from this partnership include streamlined connectivity and service continuity across borders, coordinated support for device onboarding and data management, and strengthened security and compliance when operating in diverse regulatory environments. For China Telecom, the deal opens access to new markets served by Bridge Alliance members, providing additional channels for its products and services.
As IoT adoption continues to accelerate across industries—manufacturing, logistics, smart cities, healthcare and utilities—service providers that can offer integrated, cross-border IoT solutions are increasingly valuable. This agreement reflects a broader industry trend toward collaboration among network operators and platform providers to deliver scalable, secure, and manageable IoT ecosystems for global enterprises.
Both China Telecom and Bridge Alliance will likely focus on joint go-to-market initiatives, shared technical frameworks and co-developed service offerings that address enterprise pain points such as device lifecycle management, connectivity orchestration, security, and data sovereignty. Over time, such collaborations can help reduce time-to-market for IoT projects and improve total cost of ownership for enterprise customers deploying connected solutions at scale.
Overall, the partnership between China Telecom and Bridge Alliance underscores the strategic importance of alliances in expanding IoT and M2M services across multiple regions, enabling enterprises to deploy and operate connected solutions more easily and securely.
